Amy's Ice Cream has been a tradition since Amy Miller opened the first shop in 1984. With such homemade flavors as Mexican vanilla, sweet cream and, for the truly Texan, Shiner Bock, there's an ice cream concoction here for veryone. The sounds of tourists and Austin ex-pats grabbing their last taste of home can be heard over the sound of paddles beating candy or cookie mix-ins into ice cream scoops.
