Painted walls are plastered with posters and stickers in a dark, swirling galaxy theme. Alternative music is turned up loud. A wall of booths and a line of red leatherette stools at the counter make up the entire dining area. Generously portioned veggie tacos come with black beans or hummus. The spinach and onion omelette comes on a platter with a huge pile of hash browns and a light griddle-fried gingerbread pancake on the side.

This funky place in a "seedy" location right next to a budget motel and I-35 is a true bargain. Come hunry! The portions are generous, and the food good. Hummus appetizer was good. Now, can we talk about the service? There was one heroic waitress doing her best, with no help. If you want fast, "smiley" service like at Olive Garden, don't come here!

Star seeds is an old school Austin original. They are open 24/7 which makes it a great place to go after a late show on 6th St. The food is excellent. The service is irratic, but the environment is one of a kind. I love this place!
