High prices, rude staff, but they have what you need. The prices are rather steep because they're a small shop carrying specialty goods. The women were hostile and rude to me, I presume because I look like an old biker and/or they don't like men in their space. However, they had what I needed when I needed it and they're really close to my house.

Oh and they really need to put in new carpet, that's just nasty.

Austin's best central city needlework shop!. When I returned to Austin after 20+ years away, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Ginger's Needlework (and Ginger!) were still in business at their same location just off I35 and 51st. Ginger carries a very complete collection of tools, patterns and supplies for the hand needleworker. Where you do needlepoint, embroidery, or crewel work, Ginger has it for you.

In addiiton Ginger has supplemented her handwork products with a respectable collection of high quality quilting fabrics. I try to visit at least once a month. Even better - she's in my neighborhood!

Close in to Mueller, Capitol Plaza, Windsor Park , Delwood, Cherrywood, and University Hills

Best Stitchery I've seen since the Scarborough Affain in Las Cruces thirty years ago. This is my first visit. I do not think I would have found this site, except for the shopping experience that occured a while back. While shopping I found a beautifully stitched wall hanging.! Upon closer examination, I found exquisitely stitched; a rose vase, shamrock clover with tiny pearl beads (at the base of the stem,,,,), embroadered butterflies with pink-and even smaller-beads, fixed upon the wings.

There is a small heart scroll that looks like it is made from a square metal wire, with teal colored, enameled leaves and smaller purple flowers. The more I look at this, the more I see the quality of your Stitches. Matted and framed with good talent also, the paper with your name sticker still attatched.

The work is worth every gaze upon it, and I believe ya'll's work is very collectable. I hope you have great success in you endevour.

My mom, aunt and their Mother, my Toomama(maternal grandmother)stitched clothing with as much perfection and I am thankful that I got to share the childhood filled with beautiful hand stitchery.

All very tiny, perfect examples of pretties!!!

Thank you for letting me remember the past through you works.

Thanks for listening.
