Christmas Store Rules!!!

If you actually take the time and effort needed to really get to know the staff and stock you'll realize that this is the best Christmas store around. This place can seem intimidating at first, so I imagine the other reviewer here didn't spend enough time looking.

This place has the best ornaments I've seen in town. You can find the perfect ornament for your boss no matter what your job is. The staff is always willing to point a friendly finger in the right direction.

I am something of a Christmas fanatic and prepare for the season year round. As such I think I know a good deal about Christmas stores around town and the Famous Christmas store is the best I am here to tell you.

Huge letdown

I was very excited to go to the "Famous Christmas Store". I was expecting a huge array of ornament choices and options ranging from inexpensive to rather pricey. I found an unorganized array of essentially all the same type ornaments. Virtually all were cheap quality. Honestly, it looked like an 8 year old had taken glue and glitter and gone crazy on most of the ornaments. There was very little unique about the selection. I imagine my utter disapointment came from too high expectations. If you are looking for an assortment of simple basic Crhistmas ornaments and a smattering of "unique" ornaments (the infamous pickle one) then you can certainly find plenty. If you have any interest in truely unique, classy, quality ornaments that you will keep for years to come, then I suggest you look elsewhere. I found beautiful choices at Crate and Barrell - and even though "Famous" clearly has more stock, it was worthwhile to me to drive to 3 different stores to find more tasteful choices.
