In Short
Located on East Highway 290, the Austin Country Flea Mart is a stark expanse comprising more than 500 fully-covered booths brimming with goods from the practical to the bizarre. Come afternoon, live music, usually Tejano, begins on stage and a margarita booth becomes a big draw. Oddities range from giant Buddha statues to every Tejano recording ever made. Cowboy hats, power tools, knock-off designer shoes and toys for the kiddies are also up for grabs.
