Mixed Quality of Care. The positives of the clinic are that it is not very expensive and they always have boarding room available when I've needed it. The lady at the front desk is nice and cheerful and Dr Schroeder is a very good vet and for her specifically, I would give her 5 stars. When I found a stray cat that needed expensive surgery, she helped me out by getting me in contact with a colleague to see if I could get a discounted price. Every diagnosis she has made has been correct, and she shows concern for the animals.

I do not always take my animals to this clinic because I cannot be sure that I will have Dr Schroeder. I do not feel confident with Dr Anderson. I brought a stray cat in for a health check and she didn't test for worms. She also misdiagnosed a very badly broken bone as nerve damage because she didn't palpate or manipulate the animal's body during the exam. I was caring for that animal for 3 days without pain medication before Dr Schroeder made the correct diagnosis (after being asked by Dr Anderson to look at the animal). I have also brought an animal in that may have had trauma to his spine, but Dr Anderson didn't know what to do, other than to call a colleague at a different clinic. I am not offended by a doctor contacting a specialist, in fact I think that patient care even improves when a doctor knows her limits. However, competence in basic treatment is essential, otherwise patients are at risk.

One other complaint about the clinic is that the waiting room smells very strongly of animal urine.

Great pet clinic.. Milwood Clinic is the only place we'll take our dogs. We found them initially due to proximity to our old house, and though we've moved across town we still only go to Milwood. The staff is fantastic, the hours are great, and the clinic is very flexible. They know their stuff for dogs and cats (not so much small mammals or birds, but they know who to recommend). They also have boarding services that, though they're not quite DogBoys or a ranch location, are quite good.

I don't have anything negative to say about them. They've always, always been great. I wouldn't trust my dogs to anyone else.
