Very happy with my fence and quality of job done. I recently had a Good Neighbor fence put in. Neil came out and gave me an estimate. He was very nice and did not try to push me into buying anything, which I really appreciate. He gave me the estimate and we scheduled the work to be done. The workers arrived at my home the day and time we had agreed on, they did a wonderful job and did not leave a mess at all! I would use Austex again without hesitation!
Great Looking Fence!.
We have 5 neighbors that we share our fence with.
We have had 3 sections done at 3 different times with Austex and we were completely satisfied each time.
Prompt estimate, prompt 2 day turn around with the fence complete, and prompt to fix only 1 sprinkler head that was damaged on the 3rd section. One neighbor took the estimate to Lowe's and they said that they couldn't beat the price of Austex. In the future we will be calling Austex back to finish the last 2 sections. We highly recommend them.
Awesome Fence.
Having been burned by a fence company before, I was reluctant to use one again and build all my own fences.
After getting older with less time and energy, I decided to give another fence company a chance. My experience with Austex was fantastic. They were quick to respond to my request. The customer service was professional and polite. Neil came out and gave us a fair estimate. The post crew arrived on time to install the posts and the fence crew came out the next morning to finish building the fence. They use top quality lumber with superb workmanship. I am the proud owner of a beautiful 6' privacy fence and will use Austex Fence Company in the future.
Fencing was installed in 2000 and still ~perfect!. The sales man in 2000 was Charles ???. The install crew was totally professional and friendly. The installed cedar fencing boxed-style 6'+ with headers on two sides of my full property and installed wrought iron, custom, 8' that was specially configured to keep our small Japanese Chin and Himalayan cat in and keep out deer and such. The side gate and the side removable panel were perfect at time of install. The wooden portion that they did is still completely intact with only discoloring over 11 yrs and the wrought iron fence and two gates are still nearly perfect having maintained their original dark black coating as good as new. The corner and buttress matching brick (matched to home) towers are still perfect. This is a company that builds top quality, lon-standing fencing assuming you do not select the cheapest materials. thanks for 11 yrs and going strong.
Impressed with customer service. We recently had our entire fence built after the wildfires and we requested bids from several companies before choosing Austex. Not only were we very happy with the fence and the workmanship, but the customer service was exceptional. Tom handled our project and I am sure we called him no less than 10 times to ask questions or to make changes. He was so helpful and patient and really had some great ideas. I'd recommend Austex without hesitation.
Great Fence Work.
My neighbor contacted me about replacing our joint fence. I called the company, AUSTEX Fence and Deck and they gave a quote right away. They scheduled the job with the neighbors work. They came in did the work when they said they would. The quality of material and workmanship is great.
Neil provided the quote and follow up on my schedule. Via email. Great job on the customer service and the finished product.
Deck and fence satisfaction. These folks built a deck for me last year and I came back this year to get them to rebuild a privacy fence. They were great. The guy taking the orders was helpful to give me info I didn't know in order to plan well. The crews doing the work were timely and efficient and cleaned up well afterwards. They also sent another guy to be sure everything was done right after the job was finished. Both jobs are well done. I'd go back a third time with no hesitation!
Crummy Fences!. We moved into our house when the fence in our backyard was roughly three years old. The fence has always been in bad shape, and this year we have to have some posts replaced. The posts are held in place with a puny amount of cement, and so the fences are falling apart. This is really shoddy work, and it's same all over our subdivision.
Without knowing the subdivision or any specifics, it is difficult to respond other than explaining that a builder generally requests cost efficient fences. A builder puts more emphasis on the building of the house rather than the fence around it.
As far as the concrete around the posts, we get calls about this every time there is a long period of drought. What happens is as the ground dries out, it pulls away from the post, just like it does from around the house foundation. Although the earth moves from around both structures, it is more noticable with the fence because it will lean. This is mosre noticable in subdivisions that were once farm land, because the ground had been tilled and not as compact as other areas. The concrete may also settle down deeper and erosion cover the base more, making it seem like there may not even be concrete there because it is buried.
er not cWARNING: Damage to sprinklovered under warranty. We got AusTex to come out and build a fence for us late last Fall. They did a good job, and we were satisfied with it until we started up the sprinklers in the Spring. They had cut our main line while setting the new post. When we called to complain, they said that it's our problem and that it was stated in the contract as such. Make sure you are prepared to spend more money to fix any sprinkler damages after the fence is built.
This has been a problem for many years because plastic water lines can not be located by the utility locators. So in 2009, Austex began covering any sprinkler, sewer or water line breaks for our customers caused by a fence or deck installation, if they choose.
We want each of our customers to have confidence that their project will be done professionally and Austex wants them to be completely satisfied when the work is done. To accomplish this, Austex now has a Quality Control Manager inspect each residential job after installation is complete. In addition, every customer is sent a Customer Survey that is read and evaluated by the president of the company.
Austex is doing everything possible to not have things like this happen.
