Best "At Home LONG HORNS Bar" in Austin. The owner put some bucks into this place recently - no more red dingy, dirty carpet - all new wood flooring, including the dance floor - if you are a Long Horn fan this is your place! The walls are bleeding Orange and the Horns are on the wall! The deck outside has benches and heaters when needed and smoking is allowed outside.

An APD visit stopped the sneaky inside smoking but you are only steps from the front door or the deck. The shuffle board is in excellent shape, the pool tables have been recovered (in ORANGE) and the Texas Hold'em Tourneys are alive and well. They also still have Black Jack!

The music is by DJ and they have free dance lessons on Monday night along with drink specials all week!!! Check them out on MySpace or FaceBook.

Six TV's help you keep up with any and every game that is on and when the Horns play be prepared to wear your Orange! When not watching the games, hook up for the Trivial Pursuit games with other bars via the TV.

Great bartenders day or night! Crowd goes from the working man around 2 to 4PM on to 30 somethings until 2:00 AM close.

Nope, I don't work there, I'm just a BIG fan! You should be too!

What are you looking for?. I love this place because I can get trashed, cross the street and be home. Other than that, its pretty cool. Its not exactly the nicest place ever and the bartender Brit is pretty cute. Overall I go there because its close and the bartenders know me but its cheaper to go anywhere else.

Where everybody knows your name...... If you want to go to a place where they will remember you after about 5 visits, then go to the Parmer Lane Tavern (PLT for short). It is a classic bar: dark with the Budweiser rotunda rolling around in a ceiling fixture, cigarette machine in the corner (even though there is a ban on smoking in bars), and classic bar stools encircling a 180 degree bar (with Laurie tending bar most afternoons as one of the friendliest bartenders in Austin as well as a fun loving individual who has more toys than most men I know....). It is not called Austin's Adult Day Care Center for nothing! Where else can you get a Jell-O shot in a multitude of flavors, be a renegade a smoke a cigarette while using a Red-Bull can for an ash tray, and play pool, poker, or dance the night away. A real Texas treat where people are friendly and will remember you if you remember them. Don't go if you cannot handle a diverse, fun-loving crowd of real people...

The best real tavern in the area. The Parmer Lane Tavern is my favorite place to go. It is down to earth, the staff are nice and the drink prices aren't any worse than they would be anywhere else. The back patio is always open, rain or shine, hot or cold. The pool tables are reasonably priced, and best of all, it is quiet. You can actually hear yourself think and don't have to shout to have a conversation. If you're looking for a good watering hole with poker, pool, and friendly folks, it is a great place to go. Sure beats the club scene.

Texas Hold-em. This is a great bar for a bunch of reasons, but the Texas Hold-em table is one of the best. OK so until our Texas government comes to it's senses you can't play for money, but here you can have a lot of fun playing and it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. The professional dealers Wed thru Sat make it a fun upbeat game. Drink prices here are about the same as other bars and the wait staff has really improved with some recent new additions..

Weak. Very disappointing bartenders. Not good looking at all with attitiude. Drinks over-priced and clientel seem to be idiots. For pretty girls and service, go somewhere else. To avoid the dregs, go somewhere else.
