When my now husband and I decided to get married we could think of no better place than to get married in Austin where we grew up (we moved to Ft. Worth a few years ago). I bought my dress in Austin and decided to have it altered and keep it there instead of transporting it to and from Ft. Worth. My dress needed several inches taken in around the bodice; where there just happened to be a lot of beadwork. I also needed it hemmed and the skirt of the dress had two layers, which I found out made for a more complicated hem. Beatrice did an amazing job on both; she had to re-bead the area where she took in the dress as well add extra boning so the dress would fit just right. She did all of this on my schedule since I could only come in on certain weekends. At my last fitting, which was two weeks before the wedding, I had lost a couple of pounds (which I wouldn’t advise). This made the dress fit a little loose around the bust. Beatrice said if I could come back in a few hours she could take it in just a little without having to mess with the beading. I came back a few hours later and the dress fit perfectly. I highly recommend Beatrice, she does a great job and really cares about the brides she is working with.
Pros: Met with me on my schedule, alterations were done quickly, always knew what to expect

I found Beatrice Alterations & Veils through these pages as Beatrice was highly rated. Not having had many alterations done in the past, I was very concerned on who to go to for my bridesmaid dress (especially since it is 3 layers!!). Beatrice was really great. She gave me 3 fittings to ensure that the fit was exactly perfect. She does outstanding work as the dress appears to be exactly as if it had come altered straight from the manufacturer! This was a 3 layer dress and she had to alter the toughest partI am very impressed and would definitely go to her again. Her studio was professional and clean - overall good experience.
