I've been going to New Image for over 6 years and love it! I have thick, curly hair, and when I first went, I wanted to grow it out but always hated the transition stage. Gwen (my usual hairdresser) worked with my hair's texture and curls and gave me tips on styling while it was at that awkward growing-out stage. She's a great colorist, too. Last year I moved across town, but I still drive to New Image for my hair!

Great Salon, We Love Melissa!. I was referred to this salon years ago by a friend and it was one of the best recommendations I've gotten since moving to the Austin area! Even after moving a bit further away, I continue to see Melissa as my stylist. She does perfect highlights and cuts. I have taken my girls in as well, and all 3 of us have different hair types and she is wonderful about suggestions for styles and hair management.

The entire staff is so friendly and the place is very clean and stylish so I love going in to relax for a bit and have some great conversation! You've gotta do the same.

Best Salon in Atx. I go to Malinda every time I go. She is incredible. She has never given me a bad haircut and she really remembers me even if it's been 6 months since my last hair cut. She will ask how specific things are. it's awesome. She is a great stylist, too. She has learned the trouble spots in my hair and knows how to handle them to give me an incredible cut every time. I HATE looking for stylists, but this is the best experience I've ever had and the price can NOT be beat. It's worth every single penny and then some. Best salon I've been to in Austin and I've tried a lot and paid a ton for my haircuts. The price is unbeatable for the level of cut you get. Best place ever. They can really look at your hair and give you an entirely new style that will knock peoples socks off, or they can give you the same cut every time you visit. They are amazing. I will be going here for as long as I call Austin home.

Best Salon Ever. Sometimes you just get lucky. You move to a new city and Austin turns out to be an oasis of cool, then you start looking for a hair salon, doctor and dentist... in that order. Ladies, look no further than New Image for the stylist of your dreams. Gwen is THE best stylist I have ever had the good fortune to have cut my hair. Not ONCE, I repeat, not once have I ever left the salon without some stranger commenting on how great my hair looked.

In addition to a great cut the salon is down home friendly with an edgy fashion forward attitude. I have booked my appointments for the next year so I am no longer reluctant to let Gwen's name out of the bag - I know that my hair will look its best for the next year so I am willing to share my best find ever.

Best little Hair cutting place in town!!!. I have been going to this salon for maybe 15 years. Gwen is the owner and the one who cuts my hair. The salon is adorable from the outside to super cute on the inside. If you are looking for a new place to get your hair done it's here and you will be the next one leaving a review on how great it is.

The Steel Magnolia's of McNeil Rd!. Having your hair done at New Image is like walking into a movie set! These women have been working together for years and the experience of going here is a real treat! All of "the girls" are warm, friendly and, above all, very professional in their approach to all who have walked thru their doors. In my 13 years (+) of going here, I've met some of the nicest people and have been treated like family. Gwen (the owner) makes sure that her staff attends the latest hair shows, are trained in the latest techniques and provide the best customer service. Marijo (my stylist) has always done right by me -- I have color, perms and cuts (oh, and don't forget the waxing!) done on a regular basis and I'm always complimented on how great my hair looks. The stylists are always exchanging knowledge and ideas between each other and I'd doubt you'd come up with an idea or problem they can't solve. Try them -- they'll treat you right, do a great job and, above all, give you something to talk about! It's another neat Austin experience!

I look forward to this every month!. I've been going to get my hair cut and colored by Melissa for at least 5 years now! I look forward to visiting with her and best of all, I feel like she does a great job with my hair. She helped me thru the painful process of growing it from short to long, got my 'grays' all colored and has let me experiment with red hair, then got me back to my more 'natural' color. I've recommended this place to a coworker and she is happy with her haircuts from Melinda, who also works there. Hurry up and make an appt!

WOW! I love New Image Hair Salon!. I am so happy to be going to this Salon...Courtesy from all staff personel. Melissa has been doing my hair for almost 2 years. I am so pleased each time she colors and cuts my hair...My daughter, granddaughter,greatgrandaughter and son-in-law have been seeing the last 5 years...

Just got back from the salon and again so pleased....

Great People great results. I have never wanted to brag more about a salon than New Image. This business is ran and surrounded by people who truly love their work and the people that come to see them. You will never leave this salon disappointed.
