These Guys Were Craftsman!

by Leonard P at Citysearch

My son's 2001 Toyota Tacoma was rear ended standing still in Traffic by an out of state Mi. driver using an obsure insurance company out of NJ that took weeks to let us drop off the truck. Afterwords, Bobby took it apart, put it back together like it was his own. He even repainted the front bumper at N/C. Then they detailed the interior and treated us like we matttered. Who does any of that anymore? Customer For Life!!!!

Austin Paint Job

by Lady Wright at Citysearch

I took my Ford Ranger to Pavilion Collision Repair Center because I lost a fight to a T-post. They had my car towed in and gave me a quote right away. They scheduled my vehicle for repair. My bumper had to be readjusted; however, they had no problem correcting this concern right away and I was completely satisfied with my experience at this body shop. I will refer my friends and family to bring their cars and trucks to this body shop. The staff was awesome!

  • Pros: Great service and repair job
  • Cons: None

Quality Body Work

by 42atx704 at Citysearch

This is for the collision center, not the Lincoln-Mercury/Mitsubishi dealership. In December, I accidentally sideswiped a lady in an Altima with my big, honkin' Pathfinder. By her reaction, you would've thought I totalled her car and severely injured all her passengers, but that's beside the point. The point is that I took my Pathfinder to Pavilion on the recommendation of my insurance adjuster. I told him I was VERY particular about the body shop matching the silver paint. I once had a silver BMW which some guy sideswiped, and by my reaction you would've thought he totalled my car and severely injured all my passengers (well, just my dog), but that's beside the point. The point is that silver metallic paint is really hard to match. And the people who repaired my BMW didn't do a good job, so everytime I looked at it all I could see was mismatched paint. SO, this time it HAD TO BE done right. Long story short...it came back perfect. And they shuttled me to and from my house, which isn't that close to them. It did take them what I thought of as a long time to do the work (a week after they got the part -- a new front bumper), but then again I wasn't exactly in a hurry to get it back. All in all, I was pleased with the work they did.

  • Pros: Great paint job, free shuttle
  • Cons: Maybe slower than average

Bad Attitudes are Contagious

by austinight2 at Citysearch

I recently saw that lincoln had really good rebates on their trucks. I decided I wanted one. I knew the color and options I wanted, and I knew the price, based on published information from Lincoln. First off, Pavillion was very difficult to make contact with. AT&T doesnt even have a listing for them in directory assistance. It took no less tha 3 phone calls to get a sales person on the phone. I called Pavillion, told them what I wanted buy, and asked when they could have it ready. I told them I wanted a black Lincoln truck, and that I had seen the offer buy Lincoln. The sales person told me that although he had a black one, he could not offer the rebate on it. He said he could give me the rebate on a blue one though. (now come on..... Rebates are not color specific...) Needless to say, I used the internet, found what I was looking for in Houstoun at Northwood Lincoln Mercury, flew to Houston, the sales person picked me up at the airport and I bought what I wanted, and got the rebate that was offered. I have never been treated so rudely in all of my life, by so many people in one location. The parts guy trying to sell me accessories 20% over msrp, because I didnt buy my truck from him was only the start. Charlie the service writer who (very rudely) told me that my front end on the truck was shaking because it had a flat spot on the tire. (he never even looked at it) He further told me to drive it for a couple of thousand miles and it would fix itself. Needless to say it didnt. I have been back to the service department 3 times to date, and so far my truck has yet to be looked at by a mechanic, or even driven by any of their employees. Nothing has bee done to fix any of the problems with my truck, and I have now taken it to my private mechanic, as there are no other Lincoln dealers in Austin. Before you buy, from anyone, take a look at how busy the dealer is. If they are not busy, there is probebly a reason. Go somewhere else.

  • Pros: Not busy, service bays are always empty.
  • Cons: Rude, won't do warrenty work. Over charges for parts.
