Really Honest People and Excellent Mechanics.
When my car broke down a friend of mine told me to try these guys; I am sooooo glad I did. They were kind, professional and did an excellent repair on my car just quit on me. I have been taken advantage of by a few mechanics in the last few years as it is so easy for them to do with us that know very little about cars and motors. Finding these guys was a real godsend and i appreciate them.
Thanks guys for the help and the "honesty".

BEST Mechanics I've Found in Austin !.
These guys are brilliant mechanics. Mr. Jacks figured out several things about my vehicle that the dealership wanted to take days for and were going to charge me huge bucks for.... and he did it in just a few moments. I was impressed with their johnny-on-the-spot attention and their ability to help me get up and running quickly at a reasonable price.
I highly recommend these guys for any vehicle repair and will be trading with them every time I have the need. Just say "NO" to the dealerships ...........
Thanks Mr. Jacks.

WORST REPAIR SHOP IN AUSTIN. Recently I took my vehicle to this shop for repairs, and was highly disappointed. When I first dropped my vehicle off I was quoted a specific price on repairs and parts, after several days and muliple phone calls later I was told my vehicle was ready. When I came to pick it up, my bill had doubled and parts that were not discussed had been installed. The owner didn't care and was very rude when i brought this up. A week after picking up my car, I discovered that my car was still having the same problems it had before. I called the owner back to discuss it, and he did not want to warranty any of his work and told me I should take my car elsewhere.
Horrible!!.
I'm not sure these other review are real. I have spoken with the owner and he is probably the rudest person to own a shop. Has has horrible customer skills. I drove by the shop to see what it looked like and it is very unorganized with tools and papers laying everwhere! It seems in the back there is a junk yard of some sort. I also needed some paint repair and I am not too sure where they would do this, though they offer it.
I would not suggest anyone come here to get their car fixed unless you wanted a cheap repair for a costly price!
Great owner and mechanic..
A co-worker recommended this garage to me. I took my car in for some brake work. My regular shop told me I had to have new rotors also. The owner was very nice and he said he would call me later with an estimate. When he called me he told me the rotors were fine all I needed were pads.
I saved money and they washed and vacuumed my car before I picked it up. I will use this shop for all my work now.
Frustrated. I had heard that the firm did good restoration work before I took my car there. I found out afterwards that the previous owner- father did good work. They agreed to restore my Porsche (engine rebuild, body down to bare metal for repaint & interior work). After > 7 months, the car was not complete, as it still neded interior work although the paint job looked great. There were some missing parts. The mechanic who worked on the car seemed put off whenever I showed up to check on the progress. The engine didn't sound right so I took it to another place that works only on Porsches. After another $2,400 or so, the engine was strong & no rattles due to incorrectly installed valve assemblies. I have written them off for any other work. It was an expensive lesson but one I will never forget.
Nice people, but not a place I'd trust to do extensive work on your car..
I brought my 34 year old Jaguar to this shop for partial restoration after a family member assured me they were great mechanics that specialized in British imports. I even interviewed the owner prior to bringing it 100 miles for the work with the understanding they could work on the car between other jobs. They did get the car running and some of the individual mechanical work was good. However; after 9 months and many missed deadlines, I retrieved the car in as good a shape as they could get it.
During this period I sent regular large payments for the work but have never ever received any invoices. The shop owner broke or lost expensive parts and has never accounted for them. A air conditioner rebulid did not last a month. After a trip to Classic Jaguar on 290, multiple errors were corrrected and many repairs had to be redone. My project car now drives well but not because of Balcones. The back lot of the shop looks like a "Sanford and Son's " junk yard and I have come to believe the owner operates his business like one.
