Sadly, it's closed. Just went to their website & it says that, as of Dec '09 they're CLOSED!? :( So sad to see a fun family restaurant close. Hope someone will open it back up & continue the tradition! :)

Horrible Place. We'd just completed our Saturday run in the nearby hills and thought it'd be nice to grab a burger as a treat. We arrived at the place, walked in drinking our water bottles. Reasonable right? Owner/Manager or whatever sees this and proceeds to SHOUT LOUDLY at us, "YOU PEOPLE HAVE THE NERVE TO COME IN HERE WITH WATER...." I forget the rest of his tirade but basically he berates us as we were about to order about bringing in water. I've never been so angry, and really wanted to say something but calmer heads prevailed and we just left, vowing never to come back. Forget the racial undertone of the tirade but I can't imagine anyone doing this to a patron. It's not like we came in with a bag of food and had the intention of not ordering and sitting a there. It baffles me to this day. A clear message to the "YOU PEOPLE" out there, that we are not welcomed there!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!. I do NOT recommend this place!!!

Was camping nearby and ate here 3 times during a 4 day period. They got my order wrong 2 of the 3 times!

The managers/owners are incredibly RUDE!!! I was in total disbelief of their "don't give a damn" attitude. In fact, he specifically said the he didn't care of my group ever returned again! Now mind you, I've been going there on and off for approx. 25 years! Not a good representation to keep long-standing customers!!!

You'd be SO much better off bringing a picnic lunch and going to Emma Long Park down the road!

Enjoy burgers and beer dockside with a vibe that beckons patrons to sit back and relax.. In Short
Simple tables and chairs and a giant fan to help out the air conditioner share space with one of the best jukeboxes in town. Outside, a covered wooden dock is primed for feeding ducks or watching the day go by. Boaters pull up dockside and take a break from the lake. Classic American fare includes onion rings, fried okra or cheese sticks to munch, and burgers, cheddar peppers and catfish and shrimp baskets for heartier fare.

I love this place..... I have eaten here so many times, my BF & I actually CRAVE the BORDER BURGER (I add bacon, too!). The actually cook their patties on a wood-burning grill, and the flavor really comes through. I have only once had a bad experience: I think someone made a mistake, but I won't hold it against them! The ambiance is great if you want something absolutely laid-back. Stumble in wearing your swimsuit and flip-flops, drink really ice cold beer, watch the sunset listening to live music with a view of the lake and cool breezes blowing in on you. Great drive, too with a view of the city and rolling hills. This place is a secret!

Tasty. Decent food. Great atmosphere. No... unbelievable atmosphere. A good value for grease and fat. We all need a little of that now and then.

Boat up or Drive Up. This casual restaurant off 620 near City Park is the perfect Saturday afternoon burger spot. The burgers are made to order and inexpensive. Boat up to their dock or face the hunt for a parking space. The live music is a plus!

No shoes, No shirt, no problem. Best place to pull up in the boat, hop out and order a burger. I have been eating there for the last 10 years, and have never been disappointed! Kids can run around, be loud, nobody cares. The prices are as great as the food, which by the way, you get plenty of! A wonderful lakeside tradition.
