In Short – Sip your favorite blend, with or without cream, as you peruse this down-home little shop. Jams, jellies, fancy tea pots and coffeemakers, along with quirky sweets and little chocolates line the wooden counters and corners. Anderson's Tanzanian peaberry is one of the most popular coffees in Austin. Rich, dark, and superbly tasty--purchase it by the pound, ground to your liking, or buy whole beans and get some use out of your grinder at home.

A couple of coworkers told me about this place and I finally tried it a year ago. Whenever I'm in that area of Austin, I always stop to buy coffee beans since they have the best (and at a great price - $6.95 for a 1 lb. bag of house blend). They also have excellent chocolate covered almonds, and some cool coffee mugs. The only disappointment was that they don't offer drinks to go.

I've been using Anderson's coffee beans since 1973. In Denver I used Peaberry, on the road I used Starbuck's...but when I order beans, I always e-mail Andersons because their beans are more robust, fresher than beans from anywhere else. And the price is better. Long Live Andersons!

Just the Beans, Mam

This is the best roasted coffee in Austin (roasted near Houston, and brought fresh Monday and Thursday). Nothing but coffee and coffee beans, and nowhere to sit, but the coffee is great!
- Pros: Roast own Beans, Lots of types of bean, Knowledgable staff
- Cons: No lattes or fraps, Bad location, Not a sit down
