Zuzu's is pretty solid. I like this place. The food is always fresh. Good when I'm in the mood for fish tacos- the mahi mahi tacos are consistently good as are the fajita and chicken tacos. The variety of fresh salsas is worth checking out as well. Plenty of Mexican food in town, but when I'm looking for consistently fresh you can't beat Zuzu's
Fresh Authentic Mexican Food!! Soooooo Good!. This place has great Mexican Food! I love the salsa bar and the fun environment! The food comes out fast, hot, and fresh! Delicious Mexican Food!!! Every time we come to Zuzu's Handmade Mexican Food, we have an excellent meal! I would recommend the shrimp tacos! mmmmmm yummy!!! Oh yeah, great drink specials to boot!!!
Family-owned restaurant for fresh-tasting interior Mexican fare, healthy menu items and kid-friendly atmosphere..
In Short
Looking everything like an elementary school classroom, with colorful charactures and simplified drawings on the walls, this stripmall Mexican restaurant has a taqueria-style menu, complete with fish tacos, fresh enchiladas, soft-shell tacos and such traditional Mexican drinks as Jarritos pineapple and orange soda. A small patio overlooks the parking lot, but it's still a friendly place to sit under a sun umbrella and enjoy your meal.
Worst I've ever eaten!.
I have been wanting to try Zuzu for some time. So today, I ordered a chicken burrito with corn salsa and Mexican rice. Let me just say: When did green peas become an ingredient for a burrito? It took away from the taste of the beans and chicken. And the chicken was dry. The 'corn salsa' tasted like canned mixed vegetables with no seasoning (doesn't 'salsa' mean something more?). The rice was flat, without flavor. I took a container of what I thought must be pico de gallo. I think not. It tasted like canned tomatoes with no other flavor.
This was a big disappointment. This is not 'handmade Mexican food' unless you like opening cans.
Try the frozen lemonade. The food is great, very fresh, and not greasy at all. Be sure to try the frozen lemonade, it's very refreshing. The portion sizes are good and they have a nice menu selection.
Fast, Inexpensive, & Healthy!. ZuZu has a great menu - lots to choose from. The spinach quesadillas are delicious - not dripping in cheese like a lot of other places. Be sure to try their non-alcoholic frozen margaritas. They taste like a frozen lemonade and are very refreshing on a hot day.
