Great service, and good deals for
frequent customers. Carlos was very kind, noticing that I biked to drop off a load and offered me a bottle of H2O.
Referral fee is quite generous, up to $20 I believe...
Watch your wallet. I moved and went to the Westbank Dry Cleaning in the Davenport center. I had 7 pieces for laundry,;4 polo shirts, 2 shorts, and a windbreaker. When I picked them up, I got a bill for over $61. I said there must be a mistake, The clerk said "no sir, our presses will damage the fiber of your shirts so they needed to be dry cleaned" at $6.50 each. Unbelievable! these were not exotic shirts.. mostly cotton. I told the clerk that I would never return and to have anice recession. This place should go under.
Lack of customer service, argumentative and lack of consistency at Westlake retail. There have been numerous times, that the service has been inconstitent along with a few of the staff that have no regard for customer service, a lack of business savvy and deliberately arrogant. I spend over $3,000 a year on dry cleaning and expect to have a relationship that is professional and customer focused. Will never, ever go back to any of the Westbank cleaners retail again, I simply don't need the arrogance.
Great consistent job!. I saw that Westbank recently tied Reids Cleaners in the Austin Chronicle Reader's Poll 2008 and I just wanted to say that Austin finally has recognized the great consistent job Westbank does on cleaning my clothes! The service is quick and smart (great empoyees at the counter) and when there is a problem (very rarely) it is handled expediently. It is obvious that my business is valued, even though I'm sure I'm not one of their best customers. I would absolutely recommend this drycleaner to anyone who values quality and service!
Damaged items, poor customer service.
Since I moved to Austin in March, Westbank has damaged 2 items of clothing. They would not reimburse me for either item, only offering credit for their service. After ruining 2 expensive pieces of clothing, why would I want credit for their service?
Update: I received credit for the damaged blouse along with a nasty email from the customer service rep.
unaccomadating. They wouldn't let me drop off clothes at 7:02pm because they closed at 7:00pm. Also, I called once to ask if they offered a martinizing or fast service, and the woman who answered was very abrupt with me and kept complaining that she could barely hear me over the phone. Even when I spoke up and called back from a different line, she said she couldn't hear me. If anyone else experiences this, the place should know they have a bad connection.
Quality Control. As of late, the quality control has not been up to the standards that I have come to expect after many years as a customer--- dry cleaning shirts that should have been laundred, double creases in pants, broken buttons , not replacing broken buttons.
Best in town. Westbank surpasses any cleaners I've ever been to, by far. I have never been to a place where you always see a familar and friendly face. The people there are proffesional and almost like family. If there is ever a problem they over compensate for it and promptly. They are environmental friendly and help in several organizations. For the people who weren't happy... well, you must be an awfully unhappy person.
The Best!!. Westbank is always great! They give me super attentive service and do great work. They always know my name, get my clothes ready as soon as I drive up, and walk them out to my car for me. They even donate to my kids' schools. Best cleaner in town!
