An authentic Austin Landmark!. My 4 kids have been going to Crenshaw's since they were 18 months old. They have now attended programs there for almost 9 years. All 4 learned to swim at Crenshaw's and loved it. The instructors are caring and very attentive. The pool is heated and has a large shallow end.

The gymnastics program is exceptional. I would highly recommend it. They have multiple coaches working with the kids and great equipment. My kids take each year and their coordination and skill have grown.

My kids feel completely at home and everyone knows their names. The staff is always helpful, friendly and positive. They do a great job with kids night out, Summer Camps, and Birthday parties. We LOVE Crenshaw's!!!

Great Family Place. My 3 daughters all went through the programs at Crenshaw's. The owner and staff are all wonderful. Really care for the kids. My girls all had great times. Now I workout in the adult weight room and track. Friendly family atmosphere. Not one of the cheesy big box exercise places. I highly recommend Crenshaw's.

Crenshaw's is GREAT!!!. Best little known secret of Austin!

Our child has attended Crenshaws for the last 4 years and LOVES it. As parents we do too. The management staff and GIl, the owner, are exceptional, really understand how to put a children's program together that includes loads of fun, and are some of the most kid friendly folks you' d ever want to meet. We've never heard anything but positive comments from other parents. Everything from the gymnastics program to the camps are sensational. And for birthday parties you can't find a better place to have them. You'll find other parents joining Crenshaws once they've been to your parties at Crenshaws. Can't say enough great things about this place!

Great facility run by great folks. Over the course of 20+ years, all of my family has at one time or another enjoyed activities/classes Crenshaws. Its a wonderful, family oriented and family run business. The owners and their family are some of the nicest folks you will ever meet. The Crenshaw experience is fun for all - my son loved the gymnastics and swimming when he was little and my father enjoyed the adult swimming and exercise classes. Crenshaws is a good neighbor with an outstanding Austin history. Its one of our city's best treasures! Enjoy!

Home Away from Home. My family has been consistently a part of Crenshaws for almost 10 years. All 3 of my kids have taken gymnastics and swimming classes along w/ participating in Palaestra.

The swim classes prepared them well for our neighborhood swim team, of which they were some of the stronger swimmers on the team. Many parents asked where they learned to become such great swimmers.

My kids also loved their gymnastic classes which the instructors made a lot of fun. Crenshaws has a very large gym which can house much more equipment than most. Because of this, the kids get much more practice time and less "wait" time! Crenshaws strongly focuses on the safety of our kids. I've been very impressed w/ the well-structured and organized Friday Fun Nights.

One of my kids has become a member of the gym team. The coaches are great mentors and the older kids are wonderful role models for the younger ones.

I also love the fact that there are things a parent can do while kids are in class. There's an upstairs exercise facility, bakery/restaurant/tennis courts/walking trails/soccer field next door, and shopping nearby. Crenshaws also has a lounge w/ WIFI access.

My kids have been to other gyms, here in Austin and in two other states to compare, and NONE have held a candle to Crenshaws!

Crenshaws has been, and contnues to be, our second family and our home away from home! We are SO HAPPY to be back again!

Gil, the owner. My experience with Gil has been horrible and I have witnessed Crenshaws going downhill. Whenever I would so respectfully talk wtih him, he could care less what I had to say. This happened several times regarding my son and his progress and how he was doing.

Most recently, I was in a car accident in the parking lot where I was first and foremost concerned about my children in the parking lot, and all I could hear from him was what I owed, and never a question or word about how we were after the accident. Because of his values and insensitivity to say the least, I would question going back.

I tried very hard to resolve this with him, and Gil never returned my phone call nor said anything except he was "hurt" and pulled my son out of his class that I registered him for and already paid for.

Love Crenshaws!. My son has been a competitive gymnast at Crenshaws for 7 years. In those 7 years, I have seen him take his gymnastics to a whole new level. The staff at Crenshaws is great! I am still amazed that the owner knows the name of just about every kid there. The team coaches are great! I highly recommend Crenshaws.

best for your kid. i have been around crenshaws for a long time. the owner is truly devoted to the cause of making children better children. the staff is caring and conscientious. if your child is not in this program, you could be a better parent.

Great After School Program. This place is awesome for afterschool. My son has been going to Crenshaw for two years. He does gymnastics twice a week and swimming once a week, it is all part of the program! He has his homework finished when I pick him up. If the weather is nice they play outside at the park next door, also computer lab and art. I can't imagine a better after school program. It really helps him get his energy out after being required to sit still all day.

As Unique as Austin. If you are looking for a preschool program for your child, look no further than Crenshaw's Palestra. Where else can your child have daily swimming and gymnastic lessons with teachers who appreciate them for their unique qualities? She has been in the program for the full two years and I can't imagine her not there next year when she begins Kindergarten... The teachers are amazing and it is a wonderfilled home-like environment. It's not antiseptic like so many day cares, it's unique and one of a kind, just like your child. We are so glad we found Crenshaw, our child is enthusiastic about getting to "school" every morning. Along with swimming and gymnastics, they offer sign language and make believe play(Creative Play) and Art class that really engage your child and Academics that will have your child prepared for Kindergrten. I can't say enough about it, you just have to see it for yourself.
