In Short
Hundreds can fit on this restaurant's many decks, which descend down the side of a 450-foot cliff above Lake Travis. Fervent sightseers can use the mounted telescopes to get close-ups of Mansfield Dam and Hippie Hollow. The Oasis has a varied mnu, with Tex-Mex favorites like grilled chicken enchiladas and crawfish enchiladas, burgers, grilled shrimp and steaks. Downstairs, the Longhorn Bar and the Starlight Terrace offer drinks and appetizers and the Starlight serves occasional buffets. A lightning strike in 2005 started a fire that burned down most of the restaurant, but it was rebuilt quickly, with several new decks added.

Other than the view there is nothing to be had here. Its like you pay for the view and that's it! So we paid $32 for 2 people to sit for 1 1/2 hr waiting for our bland cold food to see a setting sun. Yeah that sums up our trip to Oasis.

The Osis is the place you want to be if you are looking for a magnificent sunset! At sunset the bell rings and the crowd cheers. It is a very unique and impressive atmoshere on lake travis! Overlooking the lake and the many boaters, great for kids too! Drinks are good food ok, but worth every bit of the travel to lake travis. If you go no where else go here!
