WALMART.
THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT IS ONE OF THERE MOTTO. THE EMPLOYEES WORK VERY HARD FOR THERE LITTLE PAY. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY GO THROUGH TO BE EMPLOYED AT THESE STORES. BUT MY ISSUE IS THE CONSUMER. LADIES PLEASE THE STORE IS NOT A PARK FOR YOUR KIDS. DESTROYED ITEMS ON THE SHELVES AND EATING FOOD ITEMS AND LEAVING THE RAPPERS ON SHELVES IS RETAIL THEFT.
I HAVE WITNESSED PEOPLE BEING JUST DOWN RIGHT RUDE TO THE SALES CLERK, JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN. THESE SALES CLERKS ARE PEOPLE TOO AND YOU AS A CONSUMER WOULD NOT BEHAVE THIS WAY IF YOU WERE IN MACY'S. LET'S GIVE THEM MORE RESPECT. THEY HAVE FAMILIES AND DESERVE THE RESPECT THAT YOU GIVE YOUR EMPLOYMENT OR ANY OTHER BUSINESS THAT YOU ENTER.
Wally World!!!. Well. One of the most ridiculous things a person can ever do is go to the grocery store on Thanksgiving Day. But I'm about to do it. So I googled Walmart to get the phone number to see if they were open and chanced upon Citysearch and the reviews. Then I was wondering who on earth would spend even a moment of their time reviewing Walmart...but now I'm doing that too. It's Thanksgiving day and Walmart is open. I'm giving them props for that. Walmart is always open. I'm giving them more props for that. It just so happens that on this Thanksgiving day, I need some laundry detergent and cocoa butter lotion. Thanks to Walmart, I will have it, because they are always open. Did I mention that they are always open??? It's an awesome thing. People say that they are cruel to their employees and that it's a horrible corporation and yadda-yadda-yadda...but I can't speak for anyone else but there was a time recently when I would have killed for a job at Walmart, or anywhere for that matter. So...after the remodel...our South Austin Walmart is clean and crisp and organized and everyone is nice and it always smells good and is by far the most awesome Walmart in this city.
The familiar smiley face representing the world's largest retailer stands for dependably low prices and customer service..
In Short
What started as Sam Walton's vision in 1962 now accounts for more than $200 billion in annual sales. The well-respected discount store emphasizes value, customer care and variety. Thirty-six departments offer everything from shoes to DVD players, including apparel, health and beauty products, electronics, toys, fabrics, craft supplies, jewelry and outdoor equipment. Popular clothing lines include Levi Strauss, Wrangler and No Boundaries. In addition to a wide range of computer equipment, Wal-Mart Connect Internet service is also available.
This Walmart is no different than any other one..
I find the Sunset Valley Walmart as good as any other Walmart. I am not the biggest fan of Walmart but, as Walmarts go this one is not all that unusual. Trashed? Yes, but they are in the middle of a remodel. They are adding a Grocery Section.
The employees in this store are not mean or unhelpful, I find. There seem to be few of them but, understaffed is the name of the game now, right?
I find the people in this small Walmart store no different than in any Walmart store I have ever been in.
Want inexpensive items? The price you pay is to give up luxury. I don't think ANYONE should expect Walmart to be like a high dollar mall store.
The one thing I do like about this Walmart is that it is small. Unlike most BIG BOX STORES it is not like walking three football fields. I personally hope they don't ruin it by adding in the grocery items and enlarging the footprint.
I was in the huge Walmart store in Round Rock one night on a return trip from Dallas. I needed a few items and wated to streach my legs more than anything. It looked as if it had been boomed and it was NEWish. A year later I happened in ther once more and it was spick and span! So you never know if a store is having a bad day or if you just should shop some other place.
AVOID-- filthy, unfriendly, cluttered, and understaffed. This Wal-Mart is disgusting. The parking lot is filled with trash, and the interior is dirty and disorganized. The items are badly arranged and out of order on the shelves, and the whole pace is so grubby it feels like a bus station. Employees are rare and unfriendly, and you'll probably only interact with two of them: the unsmiling cashier that checks you out slowly after a long wait in a giant line, and the equally surly receipt checker at the door who picks over your cart suspiciously after another wait in a slow-moving line. Most Wal-Marts are pretty foul, but this one is almost literally a trash dump. Go elsewhere if you value your money and time.
