This establishment has one of the best retail-store beer selections in town. Seems like every beer distributed in the State is available here. I consider myself well-versed in both the beer and wine worlds, and am familiar with most of the retail outlets in town that cater to these two lines. The wine selection is comprehensive with most wine regions/varietals/styles well represented. Inventory is kept nicely stocked with wise choices across the price spectrum. Many hard-to-find reserve bottlings and boutique winery offerings are sought out and kept available by Pete, the active force behind the wine department. Oak Hill has an impressive collection of domestic Pinot Noir. Not having gone the keg route through this establishment, i can neither confirm nor deny the other reviewers experience with a bad keg, questionable advice. It would surprise me to get bad service or misrepresentation here, as my dealings with Oak Hill have always been good. There are a number of other establishments in town which specialize in kegs that I have dealt with over the years, and I cannot see why one would not go to a shop that specialized in kegs: Juniors' or Party Barn or SoCo Beverage Barn. To skewer Oak Hill Liquor for not doing kegged beer especially well, is to miss the point. The forte at Oak Hill is the impressive beer selection and the well-done wine inventory. The service has been polite and well versed every time I have needed help there. Check these folks out, they do a very good job of serving their customers.

Nice selection is all i can say good about this place. If thats all you are looking for that thats great. But if you dont want out of date product and staff that will only help you, to make a sell of something that is old or damaged because of heat or just plain bad business than dont shop here. I bought a keg from this store and about five different employees convinced me to get a live oak keg. a great local brewery. They told me it was the most fresh and after taking it home i had 30 people that wouldnt. or couldnt drink it. it had gone bad. Took it back, full and they said it was my problem. Come to find out that this particular beer is a winter only seasonal beer that isnt sold during the summer .. this was august. Bad Business.. Im sure there other selections of beer, wine, and liquor could have the same problem. Watch out.
Pros: Ok. selection.
Cons: BAd Business, Rude, Lack of concern
