so lovely, so inexpensive. I wound up at this place because it was literally the first easy-access restaurant I saw. It is so delicious! And look at those beverage cups! If you're headed up north and you're hungry this is a great place to stop for a quick yummy inexpensive meal.

Cheap, underrated Mexican fare in a pleasant, no-frills setting.. The Scene
Late-night Mexican food doesn't get any more satisfying than the authentic fare at Arandinas, which has been serving ridiculously delectable and inexpensive a la carte, entree and breakfast dishes for over 20 years. Housed in a weathered red-and-white building on the south side of Riverside, the cozy eatery's yellow interior attracts Austinites of every stripe. The staff, who typically don't speak much English, are cheerful and the portions are hearty in this underrated locale.

The Food
The beef fajita burritos match up against any found back across the highway in South Congress hot spots charging three times more. While the guacamole is prepared in a more traditional manner without much spice, the buttery migas is a spice sensation--the cooks don't scrimp on the jalapenos. The al pastor flirts with over-saltiness but doesn't cross the line. The salsa is fresh, lime-tinged and not too fiery.
