In Short – This restaurant is an old fast food joint with orange Formica booths and pink and green floral wallpaper. A TV competes with two pinball machines for the attention of those awaiting their precious pizza. Aljons has created a classic Neapolitan pie, by way of New York-style pizza. The handmade dough, tossed in the air the old fashioned way, creates a bubbly crust. Calzones feature huge mound of dough encasing four cheeses.
Run down, not very good

Building looks run down, you go inside and confirm that suspicion. So run down that it doesn't even pretend to be clean. Can only imagine the bathroom.
No soda on tap, all cans in the fridge. Older couple running place by themselves and don't look too happy to be there - don' expect any smiles there!
Pizza - very basic. Tastes like most of the ingredients were frozen or just poor quality. Next time I'll tell my young, cheap co-workers that they need to step up from the broke college kid food. Gross.
Excellent crust

This is by far my FAVORITE pizza place in Austin. This is the only place that gets anywhere near new york style pizza. The family that took over years back is very friendly and kept things running smoothly. The pizza tops everything else on the menu, but there are many good things to choose from. The crust is thin, crisp, and just a little bit flaky. I have a hard time taking leftovers home or keeping anything for the next day if I get take out. They do not deliver, but they have a drive through window on the side of the building. There is a very simple dining area with booths and some pinball machines. If you eat there it's good for single, couple, and family dining.
- Pros: Great food, great price
- Cons: does not deliver
Fabulous!

Aljon's is one of my favorite places to eat in Austin. Their pizza is the best, their Italian subs are delicious, the strombolis, calzones and chicken parmesan are all great too. It is very small and never very crowded and the service is great. :)
- Pros: everything is great!
- Cons: nothing :)
