Best Service and Staff.
Had family arrive on short notice to spend the weekend. I spoke with Joni at the front desk and she took care of me. She arranged my reservation (and set up so I could pay for it) with ease.
My aunt and uncle had dinner at their restaurant and said that it blew other hotel food out of the park, unexpected! They also said that the beds were very comfortable and loved that the location was in south austin (near me) and easy to find (it is on the corner of two major highways.
They said that they are going to become Omni loyal, and after hearing them, I will do the same.
A quiet luxury hotel offers an oasis right off the interstate..
The Scene
When guests enter through the back side of this hotel, the traffic noise of busy I-35 is quickly drowned out by the relaxing sound of a fountain. The tranquil atmosphere continues indoors, where moss-green marble, tall tropical plants and dark oak accents create a serene haven. Business travelers gather here for the meeting space, which is some of the biggest in Austin. The location offers easy access to downtown, just five minutes away.
The Details
Guest rooms and suites display sophisticated European-style furnishings. The King Rooms feature large writing desks, and the majority of the rooms are nonsmoking. Along with an indoor-outdoor swimming pool and fully equipped health club, recreational pursuits include a basketball court. The hotel's meeting space is one of Austin's largest, and it is adjacent to the Texas-themed restaurant, ideal for post-meeting meals.
Great Hotel, Great Price, Great Location. I had never stayed in an Omni hotel before, but after my experience this past weekend (10/17/2003 to 10/19/2003) I will look for Omni hotels first when travelling. The hotel is located right next to I-35 and offers easy access from/to the airport, downtown, and dining locations. Austin's roads in general are a mess and I don't think it matters where you stay, as the traffic is pretty bad all over. Everything was clean and rooms were large (King bed, Nice TV, Writing desk, and sitting area). The rooms even offer free wireless Internet access if you have a wireless LAN card in your laptop. You can also purchase an access card from the front desk for $9.95 a day (if you have a LAN card). The hotel has a huge indoor/outdoor pool and the staff was very friendly. Overall a great hotel and I would definitely stay there again.
