Editorial Review for McKinney Falls State Park – by ReserveAmerica
In Short
The park is named for 19th century settler Thomas F. McKinney, who came to Texas as one of its first colonists. His trainer's cabin and his homestead are still in the park. Facilities include screened shelters with bunk beds (no mattresses); campsites with water and electricity; walk-in water campsites (includes picnic table, a fire ring and a grill); picnic sites and many multiuse and interpretive trails. Camping, hiking, mountain biking, road biking, picnicking, fishing and wildlife observation are other activities.
