Petco. We buy our dogfood from Petco, and when we are in the area we stop by Petco on Brodie...the smell about knocks me over. Seems to get worse each time. The urine odor is so bad, I've asked other shoppers all concurred. I can't believe a manager would allow the stench to continue....we won't be going back. The clerk/trainer was giving some of the worse advice I've heard regarding a dog problem. I've been a trainer for 35 years and continue my education on a regular basis. I'm appalled with her know it all advice which was so off base and the smell....ugh!

Diseased Fish!. We recently went into petco on brodie and purchased some mystery snails and brought them home. Much to our surprise they were carriers of ich and god only knows what else. I returned to the store and looked in their tank that housed our snails and sure enough ALL the goldfish are covered in ich. Thanks a bunch petco for making my 4 yr old happy well taken care of goldfish miserable. Under-staffed employees probably account for the poor conditions there, I wouldn't even recommend buying bait there.

Grooming salon has great and bad.. I have a couple different dogs. (a maltese and 2 shih tzu mixes). I have taken them to several different grooming salons throughout their lives. Now, I did not expect much because it is a chain store, but I have to say they did a good job. I have been going there for 2 years now and at 1st I did not want to go back as they seemed very scattered and incompetent during my 1st visit. But after trying a petsmart down the street I decided to give petco brodie ln a try again and I was pleasantly surprised. They have a new manager now who listens to your needs and questions and my dogs are happy when they see her. My dogs are also happy when I pick them up. They smell fresh and clean and the haircut is what I ask for. She is also very honest about pricing and what haircuts she can and cant do for my dogs. In other words: she is very professional and you can tell she likes the dogs. My maltese bites and moves around alot and other salons have charged an arm and a leg for this reason, but not only does she not charge to much for this ($5 extra) she tries to spend time with my maltese, talk to him sweetly and play with him to get him to calm down.

{Some of the other employees I have to say are not as professional and seem to not take the job seriously. I had one groomer there once that wouldent even come over to talk to me and when I picked my dog up he looked horrible. His haircut was uneven (to say the least) and he was very greasy still. }

So, I would say If you want to go to petco brodie lane request the salon manager as she is very professional and easy to talk to.

If the customer is always wrong, this is the store for you.. If the customer is always wrong, this is the store for you! While I've been overcharged several times by the Petco at Brodie & Lamar, after calling them beforehand and being assured I'd get a refund, I stopped by my regular Petco tonight. Obviously, I couldn't read the one sign that didn't exactly specify that I only got free treats if I bought the "Duck & potatoes" food. The two associates were rude, laughed at me, refused to refund my money without the treats (the treats were supposed to be free, so why would I return them?). One tried to walk off with my receipt. When I grabbed it out of his hands, he said he wouldn't talk to me if I was going to be rude. Oh really??? Sarcasm dripped from the short boy's voice, "have a nice day." Hey, you too -- while you still have a place to work. Even if I hadn't found out Petco has allegedly been storing food in a warehouse with both bird and rodent infestations, I would never shop there again. With deceptive sales policies (two other people in line with me when I bought the food were told "oh, those signs are old") and associates who are certain it is the customer who is wrong, no wonder the company is plunging towards it's destiny. One day this will all be a dusty, musty, smelly memory.
