Our Favorite Neighborhood Joint!.
Surprised to read the bad reviews...my husband and I go there almost once a week and have never had a bad experience. We always sit in the bar though and maybe that makes a difference. We've never sat in the restaurant area.
The chips and salsa are great and I LOVE the chicken stuffed avacado and the breakfast tacos which they serve all day. Prices are great. We left there once having both had a meal and about 6 drinks between the two of us and it was only 40 bucks.

BEWARE!!.
About two weeks ago, I made the mistake of going to Casa Garcia's for a late lunch and ordering the chicken tortilla soup. It LOOKED great, but the chicken was in large chunks and falling apart a little too easily. Well, about 3-4 hours later I was unable to part with the toilet... This went on ALL NIGHT; I didn't get a wink of sleep nor could I keep small sips of water down. I had sweats and chills, body aches, and my fever peaked out at 103.5 degrees at about 5AM; I genuinely thought I was going to have to go to the ER. This was, hands down, the most miserable night of my life. I missed my Clinical the next day because I was STILL hugging the toilet. I felt nauseous for about two days after and have not been able to eat chicken since.
So what happened when I called management the next day to tell them?
I was extremely nice, considering I was up all night beforehand. I suggested that they double-check on their chefs to ensure they were cooking the chicken properly. I made no accusations, I even had a nice tone of voice. The manager took offense and did not even apologize to me NOR did she offer any type of compensation for my night of Hell. She even went so far as to deny that I got the S a l m o n e l l a there because "it takes more than 24 hours to get." As agitated as I was at that point, I politely replied, "Actually, I am a Nursing student and know for a fact that is not true." The NERVE of this woman! So after a pointless phone call, I am here to warn you, because obviously this manager/establishment did not give a care in the world about their customers' health.
SO, the moral of the story: DO NOT to go to Casa Garcia's. They charge way too much for S a l m o n e l l a-induced gastroenteritis!

Bad Experience.
My fiance and I ate a this restaurant because Trudy's had a 45 minute wait. I ordered shrimp quesadillas and she ordered shrimp enchiladas. He brought me out cheese quesadillas with a side of shrimp. I sent it back and they brought it out right. My fiance's shrimp enchiladas did not have shrimp in them and had a different sauce then the ones she ordered. We told the waiter not to worry about it because we didn't want to wait a second time to get the food right. Then he charged us for the shrimp enchiladas and said he would just pay the difference himself. Not what I would call customer service. Food was mediocre.

Great food, usually good service.
We are at least once a week regulars despite the rude managers/owners(?). Great Tex-Mex at decent prices. The waitstaff usually does a great job.
Its a bummer when the older man or woman, or the elderly lady at the cash register treats you like a second class citizen(that is if they arent just completely ignoring you) when its time to pay the bill. I wont go as far as calling them out on it, but its interesting to see them be as friendly as can be to certain people and rude to others of a different ethnicity.

horrible service, even worse food.
The food at Casa Garcia's is to say the least, is gross. It does not have any flavor. That said the service at this establishment is one of the worst I have ever experienced, especially from the woman at the front counter. I agree with the other user they (including the wait staff & owners) need to take a class in customer service. What an awful experience

horrible service....management even worse.
we received horrible service that included, no service, wrong drinks, no drinks, missing food, & at no point was the table bussed. when this horrible experience was mentioned to the manager, she told me that the server said everything was ok. i was astonished with the manager's response. i was much more upset with the managements poor handling of the situation than the poor service demostrated by the inept server. the management at casa garcia's need a customer service 101 class!

Awesome Mole Enchiladas.
My husband and I are regulars and have never been disappointed. I love the Fajita Gorditas and he loves anything on the menu that has mole sauce. He thinks it's the best in town. Don't forget to leave room for the Tres Leches cake! Best I've ever had! They also have one of the best mariachi bands around. They're so good that we booked them for our wedding!

Best Mexican in Town.
The food at Casa G's is awesome! Everything I have had there is always exceptional. They promptly bring you hot chips & salsa and keep them coming. They are never in a rush to get you out of there which is the only thing negative I can say about them - it takes forever to get your check but the food is soooo good you can over look it!
