A South Austin Institution!. I really can't say enough good things about this place. Maybe it's because I've been eating here as long as I've been on solid food, but La Fuentes is what Tex-Mex is all about. Kind of tucked out of the way, you feel like you've entered Austin circa 1974, an unchanged relic of the old laid-back South Austin I grew up in. Actually, it's not entirely unchanged, there's a new outdoor seating area with a music stage and a full bar. I haven't seen any live music here yet, but will be back to check it out for sure. Austins best unintentional secret. When people go here they stop going anywhere else. The prices are wonderful and sevice is like your at home. Best Mex food anywhere I ever been. Been eating here since I was little. It has alot of regulars just like me because when people go here they stop going anywhere else.
