I chose Ulta because it was open on Sundays, conveniently located and seemed fairly clean. Plus, I like the store! I needed someone to do a decent cut and highlight. Dale exceeded my expectations and I have been going to her for years. The prices are a bit less than a high profile salon and a bit more than some of the other beaty salons where stylists rent out stations. You pay for Ulta's overhead, so again, it is not a very inexpensive place to go. However, I have been more than satisfied with my cut and color and have received compliments from people who liked Dale's work. The other stylists, who I've noticed have stuck around (showing turnover isn't too high) are probably good too.
Pros: Convenient, Great Work
Cons: Not Cheap

I had an eyebrow wax done here...not only was it painfully obvious that this poor girl was new to it, but it was extremely painful. I have never had an eyebrow wax hurt like that, and my eyebrows were puffy and swollen for hours afterward! Plus, she bent me back over the shampoo sink to do it?! I will stick with more professional establishments for waxing.
