Worst, customer service EVER -- all the way from rank-and-file employees up through the store manager. Don’t even bother going in there. Go to Sephora instead where the sales help is always professional, knowledgeable and courteous. At this Ulta store, it’s virtually impossible to get anyone to help you. If you do get help -- probably because you insisted on it, expect the sales clerk to be: 1) unfamiliar with the merchandise; 2) uncaring about whether you find what you came to buy; and 3) indifferent, at best, about providing a positive customer experience. I don’t know how stores like this one stay in business.
I went into the salon as a walk-in and Anna helped me out. Not only did she do an amazing job cutting and texturing my hair but she really knew her stuff and even took me step by step on styling my new haircut to minimize damaging my hair.
Ask for Anna, you won't regret it :)
HORRIBLE Customer Service!. Worse customer service I have EVER experienced...beyond bad!! William and Jennifer MUST attend the "Back to Basics of GOOD Customer Service" training. Both argued, rolled eyes, made very rude comments and just over all blew it for three generations of Ulta shoppers in my immediate family ( I've not called the others and friend shoppers yet). Without going into a long drawn out detail of specifics b/c it really doesn't matter at this point...let me just say that as always when dealing with poor cs, I can ONLY say it is due to poor management. Thus the case in this situation b/c WILLIAM continued to "sas" back AFTER the manager walked up to help with the situation and she did not address him but allowed it to continue...that was while he was being very disrespectful TO MY 65 YR OLD MOTHER!! William, you must learn that that can become VERY frustrating and insulting to certain children. Do you speak to your mother that way? Geez, amazing! The entire situation was ONLY a result of William's neglect to focus on what he was scanning and realize / admit HIS mistake. Will NO longer shop there and this is not the end of my complaint. Plan to follow up with upper - upper managment to hopefully alert them of what is REALLY going on with the "front line" in Austin, Tx Brodie store. Sad - just sad.
Drugstore, beauty-supply shop and a full-service salon wrapped into one..
Selling everything from Q-tips and nail-polish remover to Elizabeth Arden cosmetics and ionic hair dryers, this shop is popular with beauty junkies. Offerings include fragrances, hair-care products, OPI nail polish, bath and body essentials, workout DVDs and yoga mats. A selection of aromatherapy candles, massage creams, eye masks and more help you create a spa-like experience at home. The full-service salon offers services including cuts, colors, perms, facials, manicures, pedicures and waxing.
Excellent Cut and Color -- Just Ask For Dale. I chose Ulta because it was open on Sundays, conveniently located and seemed fairly clean. Plus, I like the store! I needed someone to do a decent cut and highlight. Dale exceeded my expectations and I have been going to her for years. The prices are a bit less than a high profile salon and a bit more than some of the other beaty salons where stylists rent out stations. You pay for Ulta's overhead, so again, it is not a very inexpensive place to go. However, I have been more than satisfied with my cut and color and have received compliments from people who liked Dale's work. The other stylists, who I've noticed have stuck around (showing turnover isn't too high) are probably good too.
Painful. I had an eyebrow wax done here...not only was it painfully obvious that this poor girl was new to it, but it was extremely painful. I have never had an eyebrow wax hurt like that, and my eyebrows were puffy and swollen for hours afterward! Plus, she bent me back over the shampoo sink to do it?! I will stick with more professional establishments for waxing.
