Tips for Carlson Chiropractic - Austin

February 11, 2013

No more ankle pain. Dr Carlson is very very good at what he does. About 2 years ago he treated my back pain and the pain has not come back since. Lately I had an issue with my ankle that felt like there was a lot of “pressure” on the side of my ankle and felt unstable. I had tried 3 sets of custom orthotics from podiatrists which treated some other foot issues but would always still have the ankle pain. I searched around the internet are learned about foot chiropractic care. Since previously having positive results, I set up an appointment with Dr Carlson and told me he could get my ankle better over 3-4 weeks. My treatment involved exercises, ankle adjustments, as well as SASTM treatment to loosen up the muscles and tendons in my leg. The SASTM treatment is quite aggressive but works wonders. After following all of Dr Carlson’s instructions and treatment schedule, my ankle has greatly improved and I continue to do the exercises to further strengthen and stabilize my ankle. I highly recommend Dr Carlson and his staff based on their professionalism, friendliness, and quality of expertise his office delivers. I also appreciated seeing a Bible in one of the waiting areas which you don’t see much in Austin.

I have been going to Dr Carlson for 2 weeks now and I feel 95% better than the first day I stepped into his office. I am one of those people who hate going to Dr's offices for anything and he made it so easy for me to relax and come back each week. I would recommend to anyone needing pain relief to come and check it out.

Would definitely recommend. I have been a patient of Dr. Carlson for two months, now. And my very first visit to his office; my sister had to bring me because I wasn't able to drive myself. I had a horrible pain in my neck that ran down to my mid back, and it didn't allow me to look from side to side; to look up or down.

And what I really loved about Dr. Carlson is that he's very detailed, and every step that he's going to be doing with you, you know; from your first visit up until the last visit.

I felt so much better after the first adjustment, and I was a little nervous because it was my first time to come to a chiropractor.

What I really appreciate is the time that he takes whenever you come to see him. On my second visit, I was able to bring my mom, and he went into detail of everything that we were going to be doing. I had been receiving treatment on my neck, on my mid back and we started some treatment on my lower back, as well, because I had some pain, you know, that prevented me from walking.

Also love about his office is that his staff is so friendly. And my appointments are early in the morning, and you can tell his staff are definitely morning people, because they're always in great moods. You can feel the positive energy that they just give off; so I can't help but be in a good mood after I leave his office.

I was receiving adjustments and spinal decompression on my neck area. The spinal decompression was so relaxing, I actually took a few naps during my treatment. If you have ever experienced pain with your neck or with your mid back, I definitely would recommend it. It's nothing to be afraid of and it's very gentle.

No longer have any pain. Approximately eight weeks ago (almost seven and a half weeks, for that matter) I came to Dr. Carlson. I was in severe pain. I was using a cane. I have a degenerative hip and somehow or the other, I reached down to pick something up and I pulled a disc out.

I went to a regular physician and he advised me that he would have to give me some shots, things of this nature. I said no, that I really didn't want to do that by virtue of the fact that to me, if you inject something into your body to kill the pain, you're not solving the problem.

I have had a previous experience with a chiropractor about thirty-five years ago; again, with positive results. Because of that, I came and saw Dr. Carlson. Dr. Carlson, in fact, was recommended by my health care.

And as a result, I no longer walk with a cane. Approximately a month and a half into the treatment, the pain went away. I no longer have any pain. I'm able to walk upright and I really believe the spinal decompression was the cause for me getting back to where I need to be.

Try chiropractic care. It works.. I've been a patient of Dr. Carlson's for many years, back to the mid-nineties (1990s, that is) and the reason that I was able to come to him was because my son, who's a registered nurse, had been his patient. And I didn't know that, because I didn't trust chiropractors from a long history with other family problems and issues; so I would never seek a chiropractor's help, even though I was suffering from headaches and a lot of pain. However my son, knowing this, had gone to Dr. Carlson and got a program of treatment that worked for him. He was rid of his headaches. And after that program was completed, he shared with me that he had been to Dr. Carlson and that he thought I might benefit from it. After all those years of nothing but disdain for chiropractors in general, I didn't have any choice but to open my mind and accept the fact that perhaps I was biased out of either fear or misinformation, and that I owed it to myself to seek Dr. Carlson's help. I did that. Since my son was a nurse and a medical person, he helped me see the way. I have got my program started with Dr. Carlson and I had results very, very quickly. In fact, in some things he was able to help me with just one or two visits. So, I would encourage anyone who is seeking help to come to Dr. Carlson, and if you fear it; you don't need to fear Dr. Carlson. He's very trained. He's very skilled. And as I like to say, he has magic hands that can work miracles. So, open your mind, and you owe it to yourself. So, if you've had pain or if you've had problems; you've heard other people with their horror stories of not being helped, I'd encourage you to seek chiropractic care because that doesn't necessarily mean it will be your story. You could have the miracle cures that I've experienced in my life.

Shoulder Pain Gone. Dr. John D. Carlson has cold laser treatment has helped my shoulder range of motion tremendously

without drugs or surgery. Going to Dr. Carlson, my chiropractor, has helped me resolve my back and

shoulder problems for less total costs without invasive procedures. Dr. Carlson has also helped me find

a medical doctor for conditions that is outside of his scope of treatment. If you have a chiropractic

question or related problem give Dr. Carlson a call and see if he can help you also.
