if u like it HAWT! then this is the place.. first time review! this place is soooooo underrated! granted, the architectural style is from , i think, a Mexican restaurant from years past. i do not go to a restaurant to look at pretty things. i go for really good food. this place has it. if people want to gripe about a bad waiter, then they haven't been out too many times. that happens and is not the restaurants fault. this is the only place that will make it hotter than i can take( by special request of course!). crying now is number one in my opinion. appetizers are priced reasonably and so is the food. try the thai iced tea! and if you don't eat any of the food then why pay for it? or ask them to make it right instead of writing a damaging review based on a single visit? we all have bad moments. i have been going to this place for years cuz it has good food. nuff said. bubba crow.

Madam Mam's is so much better!! ewww thai kitchen is gross!. I HAVE BEEN TO THE GUADALUPE LOCATION OF THAI KITCHEN BEFORE, THAT IS WHY I DECIDED TO TRY THE WESTLAKE LOCATION... WOW THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING!!!!!!! THE DECOR IS HORRIBLE, THERE IS ONE OUT OF FIVE LIGHTBULBS IN EACH CHANDELIER AND THEY ARE ALL COVERED IN ABOUT TEN YEARS OF DUST!!!!!!! EVERYTHING IS SOOOOO DIRTY AND GROSS!!!! I ALMOST LEFT BEFORE WE EVEN ORDERED! THE ONLY WAITRESS WAS SO RUDE AND NOT AT ALL FRIENDLY! ONLY GAVE US WATER AND DIDN'T EVER ASK IF WE WANTED ANYTHING ELSE! NEVER SAID THANK YOU OR WELCOME OR ASKED IF IT WAS OKAY! NOW THE FOOD - WE ORDERED PAD THAI AND PAD SEE EW BOTH WERE REPULSIVE!!!!!! WE TOOK ONE BITE AND COULDN'T EAT ANYMORE THE FOOD WAS COLD, OILY, HARDLY HAD ANY MEAT IN ONE DISH, AND NASTY MEAT IN THE OTHER!!!! THE WOMAN DIDNT ASK US ANYTHING AS WE WALKED UP TO PAY EVEN THOUGH BOTH OF OUR FULL PLATES WERE LEFT ON THE TABLE! HOW AWFUL! WE HAD TO GO TO SUBWAY, AND LET ME TELL YOU SUBWAY NEVER TASTED SO GOOD! IF YOU WANT SOME REAL THAI FOOD GO TO MADAM MAM'S IT'S THE BEST FOOD AND SERVICE IN TOWN, IN A CLEAN WELL LIT RESTAURANT!

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN KITCHEN NIGHTMARES ON TV?? THIS THAI KITCHEN IS THE #1 CANDIDATE FOR THAT SHOW!

Yummy Pad Thai. I can't bring myself to order anything else but the Pad Thai (vegetarian) but I find I don't need to. If getting salad, be sure to ask for dressing on the side--it's good dressing, but not for swimming.

Small portions of below average food in dirty place. I went here for lunch the other day. I ordered a pretty run-of-the-mill beef and broccoli dish. The salad came with super sweet goopy peanut sauce dressing and just iceberg lettuce. The beef and broccoli portion was pretty small, even for lunch. The beef was dry and overcooked, and the broccoli was bitter (yuck!). The rice was overcooked an mushy. The wall next to our booth was splattered with what looked like all different sauces (yuck again) and the sauces themselves looked old. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want decent food. There are plenty of other good, cheap spots in the area not to have to bother with this one.

good food - horrible portioning and service. I have been eating lunch at the Thai Kitchen on Bee Caves off and on for a little over a year now. They have always been known for small lunch portions, but lately the portions have been ranging from small to very small (palm sized portion entree and a scoop of rice).

I mentioned this to the staff at the restaurant and told them I wouldn't be coming back unless they corrected this problem. I was very pleasant, and hoping they would thank me for bringing the issue to their attention.

I was told they did not care if I came back at all. That they have been open for 20 years and didn't need me to stay in business.

I'm a bit bummed, I love the food there. But I refuse to go back to a place with that attitude.

Delicious - Nice Neighborhood place. My husband and I are big fans of the Tom Ka Gai Soup - as are most of the patrons when we are there. It is a delicious chicken based soup with coconut milk and some chilis to add spice. It has pieces of chicken and mushrooms in it. It is great for allergies and colds - it clears you right up.

Another favorite of mine (it is to spicy for my husband) is the curry fried - It is a green curry based fried rice with chicken and a touch of green onions and green beans.

The crispy spring rolls area also addictive.

Westernized Thai. If you are an asian or a westerner that crave for authentic Thai, AVOID THIS PLACE. I had a traditional thai noodle soup, the rice noodle was the wrong kind and it was old. The service was not very friendly. I was actually afraid to send back my dish and get split into when the food return. Other than my misfortune, my collegues had one of their lunch special. Picture yourself eating fast thai food that you normally get at the Mall and serve it on a plate. That's what you are getting.
