In Short – The Hills is a unique club with a very relaxing atmosphere. A delightful surprise is the beautiful setting of the heated outdoor pool and a challenging jogging trail winding through the woods of Eanes Creek. This club has exceptional personal trainers and one of Austin's finest Pilates programs. Additionally, members get free personal training sessions, fitness assessments and nutritional counseling that are offered every three month to help members stay on task toward achieving their fitness goals. Racquetball and basketball programs are also available.
Fantastic running trail
by Jossie68
The running trail is amazing. It winds through the woods and over the creek. I've even seen deer while I was jogging. It is very peaceful and secluded, yet the property is completely fenced in so you feel safe while jogging. They even have lights that come on when it starts to get dark. I also enjoy the patio that overlooks the pool.
- Pros: Running trail, atmosphere
- Cons: none

Great gym, question childcare
by austinfilly
There's no question that the Hills is an upscale and inviting place to get in shape. I was especially attracted to year round swimming with both the indoor and outdoor pool, massage services, free help from a personal trainer to set up an exercise routine, and the diversity of the people I saw working out. I felt that I could work on my fitness goals and not feel embarrassed. The locker room is very nice and clean and the walking/jogging trail outside is really relaxing. It feels like walking through the woods.
However, one of the most important things for me was that the Hills offered childcare. I tried it once and won't again. They appear to have no procedure for checking children in and out. They didn't ask me who I was when I dropped off and picked up my little one or ask for ID. Anyone could have picked up my child as there was different staff there from when I dropped my child off. I told them my child's name when I left them, because the staff didn't ask. From their perspective, it seems like they would at least like to make sure I had an appointment. The atmosphere was nice enough and the people seemed friendly, but no safety procedures alarmed me. I got a bad feeling, and decided to follow my Mommy intuition and not bring my child there again. Disappointing, because it will be harder for me to use the gym now.
- Pros: facility, pools, locker room, walking/jogging trail, free fitness trainer consulation
- Cons: childcare has no safety measures, more expensive than most
