For $7 an hour, this is a great way to spend a sunny afternoon. Be sure to bring water and sunscreen and a sealed bag to prtect them in case you flip over. I like to go out into Town Lake and then over towards MoPac. This is also a fun activity for visitors.

The Extras:
Just south of the rental station, swimmers frolic with their dogs in the waterfall spilling from Barton Springs Swimming Pool.
Look Good:
Take a break and enjoy a picnic or a bike ride in the native park setting of the Town Lake Hike-and-Bike Trail.
Know Before You Go:
No living creature is impervious to the Southwest region's sunlight. Bring water, sunscreen and a big hat.
