We have used Christian Brothers for several years for our semi-annual mantainence. We suddenly started having some issues with the cooling and called to have the system checked. They reviewed the system and gave us a couple of options. We decided to replace the system. This was amazing. Everything went exactly as planned. The crew was very friendly and professional. It is refreshing to see a company that remains trustworthy. Thanks guys. Great job. Cool again.
We recently completed the installation and city inspection of a new air conditioning, heating, and air purification system from Christian Brothers Air Conditioning in Austin, Texas. Their engineer and installation manager helped us through the process, and their installers did a great job! We have a truly wonderful system that will cool, heat, and clean the air we breathe, as well as potentially keep the costs lower than ever before. We will know the true savings benefits by the end of this winter and the end of next summer. Christian Brothers has been our AC service provider for many years and we will continue with them for many years to come. Thank you Christian Brothers!
Was trying to prep my mom's house for
sale when the A/C went out - and of course it was 95 outside. By the time I realized the A/C was the problem, it was 8:00 on a Saturday night. I haven't lived in Austin in 15 years, so I looked up some online reviews and called Christian Bros. Chris came within the hour, did some investigative work and told me the part that was out would be $1,200 to fix, but that the A/C was 26 years old (wow, way to go mom and dad!) and we may want to consider a new unit altogether - but he was more than willing to stay and replace the part that night if that's what I chose. I decided to wait for the estimate, and the next day (Sunday) I received a call from their salesman, had a quote within the hour, and the work was scheduled and completed by Tuesday. The service manager, Mark came out a week later for the inspection and was great as well. The office manager, Karen filled out the paperwork for the city rebate program and mailed it for me, which was one less thing I had to worry about and much appreciated.
These folks are fantastic and I would recommend them highly to anyone in need of fast, reliable and quality service with very competitive pricing.
Thanks, Christian Bros!
My A/C stopped two days ago and you
know how fun that can be. I called Christian Brothers who have 7:30-19:30 hours before after hour charges apply. They sent Chris old over....He climbed into my attic to find a frozen motor and filthy coil. The estimate was just under $2000 but he had to come back the next morning after the block of ice had melted. I received a call at work around 8:30 and Chris told me it was a 10 amp capacitor causing my problem - $180.20!!!! He could have stayed with the original, and I would have gladly paid - it IS August in Austin.
The honesty is refreshing and appreciated.
Waiting 3 days for AC repair (it's 90+ in the house). First $600 trip didn't fix it. Now a $700 second trip is supposed to but we've been waiting all day - tech said he'd be here this morning & it's now 4:00pm $600 for a pc board with about $10 worth of components; $700 for a valve that probably costs $15. Not a happy camper Can't recommend 'em.
Ricky Ellis is an A/C Ninja and Customer Service Guru. Ricky came by to replace an air vent after we bought a unit from Christian Brothers. As he was putting in the vent, he noticed a missing cap on the drain line. Instead of putting in a service order, he went and bought the cap with his own money. That’s the kind of service that brings repeat business. Keep up the good work C Bros.
I have been very impressed with the service techs of Christian Brothers AC since I moved here four years ago and turned over my servicing to them.
I recently had the benefit of one of their best, Glen, to troubleshoot my ten-year old unit. He diagnosed the problem, and made the appropriate repair. He didn't try to sell me a new unit like so many other companies have done in the past. This repair bought me time to assess whether I should upgrade to a multi-fuel unit or not.
Very positive experience. I recommend this company, largely as a result of keeping techs like Glen on staff.
I called the Christian Brothers in early November to come inspect the weak dilapidated heating unit in my rental house. Joe and Ricky showed up on time and were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was told my unit was in poor shape and the return area was way too small. Joe said given the work needed and their committment to quality, that my landlord would most likely go with a lower priced/quality alternative. I appreciated his candor and was assured he would email over an estimate and diagnosis for me to share with the owners...
After a month of receiving nothing, I called Christian Brothers and spoke to Ricky. After reminding him who I was, he apologized and asked me to resend him my email info. He confirmed my email and told me the report was coming...Ten days later and still no response.
I'm sure they are busy and I was not likely to be a client this time around, but I expect people to live up to their word. I gave them two chances to do so to no avail...
Ripped off by Christian Brothers AC.
I got charged $330 for a $20 part (a 55/5/440 AC capacitor on the outside unit...google it for prices) and a 10 minute fix. The tech didn't even bother to do a full inspection of my AC unit, verify if the compressor was or was not running before the "fix", or even check the air in the house before the "fix".
I guess he thought the middle of summer was a great time to rip someone off.
Our intentions are never to have a customer feel this way. Satisfaction, loyalty and doing the right thing is very important to our team. If this individual would please contact Jim Graves in customer service so we can discuss this specific incident in order to resolve the issue, it would be appreciated.
Saved me from the Heat!.
This is the third time I have used Christian Brothers AC and they still impress me. The calls are always handled professionally and they do what they say they will do. The technician know their stuff. They offer their services without being "pushy". Robert was the best!
I will not only continue to use Christian Brothers, but will refer all my family and friends to them as well.
The Christian Brothers team would like to thank you for your kind words and for allowing us to service your air conditioning and heating needs. We hope you'll use us for plumbing sometime soon!
