We had a horrible morning of two backed up toilets and raw sewage in the bath tubs. Under our home warranty program, we called two other plumbing company's- one closed on Saturday and the other saying he wouldn't come out to our location. The warranty company said go ahead a call your choice of plumber and we'll reimburse you. Our realtor recommended Church Services. Allison, on the desk side, was very helpful and Kenneth was the technician that came to our home. He was thorough, professional, and got the job taken care of in less than half an hour. My 80+ year old parents live with us and my father is going through radiation treatments. Church Services relieved a very stressful problem for us when others couldn't be bothered.

Al Fischer visited us this morning to check out our heating and air conditioning. I usually do not write reviews, because if we pay for something it should deliver as advertised. But, when the service goes beyond what is expected and the value of the service is far greater than advertised, it should be publicly known.
Al was thorough, professional and friendly as expected, but beyond that, he has a sincere interest in the quality of our heating and air conditioning equipment. Additionally, he offered some great suggestions to improve our service and graciously put up with our dog Trixie as well. This kind of service is becoming extremely rare and worth hanging on to.

I am a General Manager for the La Quinta San Marcos. I have called on them many times to repair plumbing issues with the hotel. James is our regular guy and he always tell me exactly what the problem is and is very fair about fixing it. I will only call on them from now on. My a/c fan on the compressor stopped working around midnight in Sept (avg high 100+ degrees). I called Church the next morning and they had a repair guy (Al Fischer) out within 2 hours. VERY professional and polite. The guy reminded me of Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs.
At first we thought it was the fan motor ($500+ for the repair) but found that it was the capacitor that was replaced last year (by me). Al and were both surprised that it was just the cap since the a/c is over 10 years old and you would expect it to fail.
He replaced the capacitor and, at my request, spent an additional _30 minutes_ in the hot Texas sun checking amperages, temperatures, and pressures. Did an outstanding job making sure the system was in good working order.
He could have just done a cursory check and replaced the capacitor but instead did a very professional and thorough job.
Very pleased with Al's work.

I have had an AC maintenance contract with Christian Brothers for 7 years and also with the plumbing division when that was offered. All the people I have worked with have been very nice. The techs and office staff are very friendly and the techs are accommodating and very skilled.
There is, however, a serious problem with the schedulers. I have had many problems over the years but this is the most recent one. When it came time for my annual plumbing check-up, a scheduler called me. I mentioned that I also needed someone to install new faucets in two sinks and a tub. I was sure there wouldn't be adequate time for that during the annual check. But the scheduler said the plumber would be able to do all that in the one visit so we scheduled it. Chris Hayes was the plumber who came to my house and he has been wonderful. I needed a valve kit to go with my tub fixtures so he couldn't do the work that day. He wrote up the installation request, noting that it would take half a day. As soon as I had purchased the valves, I called Church to schedule the installation. I asked for Chris to be the installer and said he had told me that it would be a half-day job. My arrival window was from 1:00 to 5:00. Chris called me at 4:00 when he finished his previous job and said he was at least an hour and a half or even two hours away from my house. He said he would come gladly but he didn't think I would want him at my house for the whole evening. We agreed that he would come the next day around noon. He arrived about that time and it did, indeed, take several hours to do the job. We ran into some unforeseen problems and Chris will have to return to finish it after I take care of the problems. I will certainly request him and trust him to do the job properly but I dread going through the schedulers again. More often than not, they don't allow enough time for the techs to complete the work and there is confusion all around.
Follow-up, Aug. 8: I needed to talk to Chris the plumber about my on-going job. I called the company at 1:00 p.m. I was told he was in the field, on the phone. When he got off the phone, they would patch me in to him. I waited for over 3 hours and then called back. Another agent said he would send Chris a message to call me. This time he called back in a few minutes and he said he never got the first message. This is so typical of this company. I'm about to cancel all dealings with them.

I had a bad leak in my bath room and called Church Services.They sent out a guy named Chris and he did the job for me. He was professional, courteous and explained what he was doing in terms i could understand. He quoted a price and did not try to change it and did an awesome job for me. I will recommend this company to my friends and if i need a plumber again i will call them for sure. One other thing, they had scheduled a time to come out but unfortunately ended up not being able to come at that time, BUT they called me well in advance and asked if they could re-schedule. That sort of service is hard to find anymore. I am totally impressed with their customer service and professionalism and the plumber was awesome.
I used Christian Brothers AC for the Austin Energy Rebate program and could not have been happier. The HVAC Installation manager, Mark, made sure that all of the efforts were coordinated and everything passed inspection on the first attempt. Their prices were very reasonable for a quality product and their warranty cannot be beat. I was very happy with the process and outcome and will continue to use them more in the future.
Definitely NOT recommend them to anyone. Horrible customer services. We had to call them several times and yet still not receive our recipe for the services. Overpriced quote for the AC unit repair. When technician came up to the house, didn't even check everything and we had to pay for the service call for nothing had been done. DO NOT USE THEM!!!
