Barnes & Who?
by jbarlow at Citysearch
This bookstore is situated in a very convenient place just off I 35 in Round Rock. I'm a big reader and since I first started going to Sue's about two years ago, I've largely given up on the corporate-chain bookstores.
Above all else, I love the friendly atmosphere at Sues. The book selection is extensive enough that I can always find something to suite my tastes, whether it be mystery, historical fiction or science fiction.
- Pros: Wonderful staff and selection of books
Sue's Book Exchange
by g17 at Citysearch
I love to read! This is a business I have been going to for 17 years! I can read and read again, my favorite books. All the staff is knowledge and helpful.
You can get new books there as well as lots of genre of second-hand books. The policy for return or turning in old for new (and new to the reader) have always been more than fair.
I love this store!
- Pros: Great service;
- Cons: none
Wonderful resource and great friends!
by imcdbw at Citysearch
This wonderful hometown business is located in the shopping area next to Round Rock High School, easily accessible, with good parking. The owners and employees are kind and friendly, always offering help to find whatever you're looking for, whether it's a book on a shelf or information about an author or series.
I always check first at Sue's when I need to find a book for my school age children or for myself. They understand about knowing what you like, but wanting something a little different. I have found absolute treasures in their "picks" section, books they personally love and recommend.
When family members come to town to visit, one of the first places they want to drop by is Sue's. My mother-in-law has found books to complete her collection of Maeve Binchy. My daughter has added to her library of psychology texts.
Everyone, from those who are frugal to those who revere books to those who are dedicated to being "green", benefits from this wonderful store.
- Pros: great variety, knowledgeable source, friendliness
- Cons: none
Great place to buy used books
by Shirley Hooper at Citysearch
I have been going to this bookstore a long, long time. It is a great place to buy books if you don't want to pay full price. I recently purchased 10 books for $30.00. Purchase price for new books would have been over twice that amount. In this economy, it's worth the short drive to Round Rock.
- Pros: has a huge selection
- Cons: none
