Mmmm the most delicious sweets in Hyde Park! Love the holiday cookies and cake selection!

When I lived in Hyde Park, Quack's was my little home-away-from-home. When I had a bad day, I sidled up to the display case and pointed weakly at the Salty Oat Cookies. "One of those?" I sniffled. When I needed a last-minute birthday present, I picked up a box of mustache cookies. A holiday party? Rosemary Apple Pie. See, Quack's is like your curmudgeonly but endearing aunt: A little tart, a little "oh, YOU again," but always, but always ready for you with an armful of goodies. And that's the best kind of aunt there is.

In Short
As renowned for its sugar-coated cinnamon rolls and muffins as it is for its anything goes vibe, this bakery maintains a distinctive Summer of Love-hangover atmosphere. The diverse clientele at this Hyde Park neighborhood institution includes not only students and musicians, but also young adults and families. Check out Quack's soups, espresso shakes and a wide array of organic juices.
Mmm good coffee. I really like Quacks! The parking can be a little difficult sometimes, but it's worth it. If you're looking for a chance to try this place out, just look at the back of your HEB receipt - I got a coupon for 75c off a coffee and a muffin, which was how I found the place in the first place! You won't be disappointed.... however, you may want to pass on the bran muffin - it's not as good as the regular muffins. Oh, and the coffee is delicious :)
heaven in hyde park. I've been coming to Quack's regularly for the past four years that I've lived in Austin. I've tried just about everything on the pastry menu and it's always been delectable! I especially recommend the brownies and the eclairs. It's also a great atmosphere to study for a few hours. If only they still had the bottomless cup of coffee...
Yummy. Their Key Lime Pie is the best that I have ever had. It is perfect, but you have to buy it while you can. They tend to disappear fast. All of their pies and cakes are good though. I also like their cookies. My favorite is the ginger crackle. It is really spicy and yummy. The atmosphere is nice too. It's got that tucked away in a neighborhood feel to it, and it is dog friendly. They have a little bowl with free doggy treats.
