A while back, when my regular stylist had to cancel our appointment last minute, I called 4001 Duval Hair Salon to see if they could squeeze me in. They could, and I was immediately charmed by the neighborhood feel of this place, a salon I had strolled by so many times. Adam touched up my layers, and we also talked about Keratin Treatments (think Brazilian Blowout). I was too broke at the time, but starting at $200, theirs are actually on the more affordable end for local salons that offer this.

Amy is fantastic!. I just moved to Austin and had my hair cut by Amy at 4001 Duval Salon. She did a FANTASTIC JOB! I have extremely thick, wavy hair and she worked wonders. Not only is my hair 10 times more manageable but it's healthy and shiny. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!!

Adam Is The Best. Because of my job I have to travel a lot. I have been to way too many stylists and am so glad I found Adam. My neighbor actually reccomended him to me and I will never let anyone else touch my hair! I first came to him with a home dye job disaster, not only did Adam fix it but it was stunning! He is proficient and very talented. The salon is adorable and Adam makes you feel at home. Go see him, he is one of Austin's finest.

Great hairstylist!. My cousin recommended that I go to Amy Evers because she loved her hair after visiting her, so I thought I would try her too! She gave me exactly the cut I wanted and I was very pleased when I left, something that doesn't happen very often. I've gotten an updo from Amy twice now and have loved both of them. She is very friendly and easy to talk to and very good at what she does. The salon is quaint and clean, and it's an Aveda concept salon so your hair smells wonderful and you get a scalp massage before your haircut :) You can't beat that!

Inconsistant quality, horrible customer service. My friend and I both visited Adam at this salon for a few years. His quality is inconsistant. One time you'll have a fabulous look and the next time the color/cut is just not quite right because he was distracted by a fight with his boyfriend. He has canceled one appointment on me and the receptionist wrote down my friend's appointment on the wrong day. This is all just too much trouble for an inconsistant haircut and haircolor.
