Yikes never again. This was a horrible expeirence. The rental agents, who it turns out are "managers" are incredibly rude. I was overcharged, lied to and they tacked on all kinds of insurance policies, told me they were mandatory and having just moved here I trusted them.

This shady way of dealing with customers makes me worry for the fact that they have my credit card on file. I read other reports since then that they falsely claim damages and threaten to sue people. How does a businsess like this stay in business? I will file a complaint with better business bureau. Save yourself the discomfort and stress from being maniplated, lied to and over charged and stay away from this business.

Special mention to "Chris" the manager who would not give me a busines card, last name and had an insutling, insinuating even racist way of dealing with me. Told me that there was a high incidence of car theft and said we are "trusting you with a $20K car" no - I am paying for it. Assumed I would be paying cash. Ugh so creepy. I made a mistake, needed the car and was tired. Never gain.

Stay Away!. My company rented a truck for one month ($1500) while we shopped for a new truck to purchase. Everything was fine until AFTER we returned it. ONE WEEK after the return we received a call that the radiator was damaged by a rock and we would be receiving an invoice for $700. We explained that not only did we drive the truck very little, we did not have any knowledge of damage. The rude individual on the phone stated that if we refused to pay the $700 invoice he would be filing a suit against us.

This is a pretty shady way to conduct a business in my opinion and recomend people STAY AWAY!!!

Never Again.. From the get-go, I was leary, but at the time I had no choice. The quote over the phone was not what it was in person. The car was dirty when I picked it up, the employee at the desk was rude and did not want to check my insurance, i have a company that has 24 hour verification, this dude was lazy.

Ended up being over-charged and out a few hundred at the end of my trip.

This company needs to get new employees and they need to get it together. Never again... nor would I feel good about recommending to anyone I know.

HK 2009. Longhorn car rentals is by far the worst place I've been to when it comes to car renting. I was not only treated awfully on the phone, but also in person. They gave me no helpful information yet alone bad customer service. I went to three car rental places that day and this one was the worst. Therefore I would never recommend it to no one I know or anybody in general.

Soso service. Rented from them before.was going to rent again but the gentlemen that answerd the phone was rude and really diddnt seem as if he cared if we rented from him or not.going back to jons rental.they r the best in austin!

Disappointed by Service. I was treated rudely by one particular person, This person never explained that I had to have a physical damage waiver and just added it to my rental car. The compact car I rented was not clean and it smelled of smoke.

I received a ride home which was great, but I will never rent a car there again.

Best place in town to rent any vehicle. My wife and I moved recently from Dripping Springs to Johnson City. We checked out our options with the "big boys", even in our home town, and then saw an ad on TV about Longhorn Rental. Thank goodness for seeing that ad!!! We called them and reserved a 24' truck for several days and were given all the details concerning their policies and requirements for renting from them. I had them repeat the cost for mileage because it was six times less than the other guys, which was going to be an incredible difference in our total rental expense.

When we arrived the people were busy but very attentive and they were extremely pleasant. The rental was exactly as it had been discribed and the truck was freshly washed and ready to go. Best part about renting the truck other than the mileage cost difference was that it had a powerlift instead of a ramp.

The truck worked great and we moved and then brought the truck back one day early. Again the people at the desk were extremely pleasant and they refunded the difference for returning one day early without a hitch! We saved several hundred dollars by making that call! I will never go anywhere else but Longhorn for any rental needs every again. They were much better than we had expected and made a very difficult move as good as it could have possilby been. I have told a dozen people about our experience at Longhorn Rental and I will tell dozens more because people need to know about the incredible service that is offered here. A++++++++

WOW What great service and what a Great Van. I showed up at LongHorn rentals to rent a 15 passenger van and was greeted by very nice counter staff. They smiled as I entered and got my van rental taken care of very quickly. When I returned the van it was even easier than picking it. They were alot less expensive than everywhere else and the van was new and extremely clean. I highly recomend LongHorn rentals to everyone looking for a fast and friendly car rental agency.

bad first impression. i walked into longhorn rentals happy to be able to support a local business. however the employee i had to deal with seemed very agitated with my needs. i became tired of his tone of speech and walked out and rode the bus home to north austin. i will not return.
