Free Beer Tuesday. They have an amazing selection of rare and obscure films and Tv shows without forgetting the blockbusters.

There staff is well educated in film making for a delightful experience every time....especially on Tuesday.

I thought the whole "I work at the Video store so I rule" mentality died in the 90's.. The selection would be good if all of the videos weren't already checked out. The people that work there are total a-holes. Yesterday I went in with a ILLEGAL BURNED DVD that they had rented out to me, and when told them that the dvd didn't work their response was, "well you probably have a cheap dvd player". When I replied, "well I do, but who cares? Every other video I have rented from here has always worked," Ian, the guy that works there, told me as rudely as possible, "well are you trying to get a free credit or something?" I thought that was completely uncalled for for him to be such a d!ck to me. Also, about six months ago I asked where I could find Immortal Beloved and they said, "In the trash". So! If you don't want to be treated like your business isn't valued then don't go to I Luv Video.

free beer tuesdays and damn good selection. i have been a "member" at i luv video for about 10 years now, and this is the ONLY place you need to shop for rentals. if they don't have it, they'll get it...albeit several years later in the case of "trouble man" but that's ok, i have learned how to be patient :) seriously, this is a fine example of why austin is a great place to support local businesses. even if you don't rent anything, just the experience of the browse is educational. i have followed 3 location changes, if that tells you anything. the only thing that's missing is the MLK Jr in a shower cap poster! where'd it go??
