This chain restaurant's orange-and-white A-frame buildings dot the Southern coast, from Florida to Arizona. What's made Whataburger grow since its first burger stand opened in 1950 is its commitment to custom orders--the restaurant is happy to fill special requests, as promised in the motto "Just as you like it." The signature five-inch patties and buns--an inch larger than most other chains--have also hooked loyalists to their burgers and chicken sandwiches.

are you here for food?. Always interesting when you walk into a late night restaurant and the staff looks at you like "You don't know about this place, do you". They will throw together some odds and ends but its best to leave quickly, before the real action starts. Whatever that is.
