First Visit. This place is great. I only visited once this last week, but will put it on my best hit list from now one. Food was wonderful and service was very top notch. I think unless you don't like the style of cuisine, you could not find much better in Austin.

Best Indian food in town.. I've enjoyed Taj Palace for many years. I've tried them all the Taj is the best! The food and the atmosphere are top notch. I love lamb, and this is where I get my fix. Their Saag Paneer is truly the best in town.

Good Food. My husband and I have been going to Taj Palace for several years. My favorite dish is the lamb seekh kabab and my husband's is the chicken tikka masala. The food and service has always been great.

Good food. I've been going to Taj Palace for many years now. Though i've tried other indian places in austin, this one always remains our preferred.

First of all, their buffet is great. It offers many meat and meatless options, though i have rarely seen Lamb in the buffet and that's my favorite.

Their naan is fresh and has a nice texture. I've tried all of their curries and they are very nice - although sometimes i bit too salty. I also have enjoyed the various appetizers, fish tikka, and chai.

The ambiance has gone through changes over the years and the current coloring, lighting, and sitar music videos make it a nice place for a date or to bring your mom.

Great Indian Buffet. Taj has a wondering buffet! We have been dining there for over a decade. Spinach never tasted so good. Chicken Mushroom curry is the highlight. Try it!

Delicious Indian fare. I love Taj Palace. It's a great place for a date- intimate and not overly lit. It's never crowded at dinner, which I love. It seems more like eating in a good friend's living room.

The sauces here are fantastic. The korma is creamy and satisfying, and if it's a kick I'm looking for the vindaloo will do me right. I eat at a lot of indian places, and one thing I really like about Taj Palace is the wide variety of lamb dishes. I like lamb. Usually there are one or two lamb choices on any given menu, but Taj Palace blows that out of the water.

It is in an out-of-the-way location, over by the soon-to-be something-else Highland Mall. I'm sure that's why it's never crowded at night, and I'm sure the owner would like to be in a more trafficked area, but it works for me. It's actually around the corner, same parking lot, as the movie theater over there. So double good for a date night if it's a movie and dinner.

PS, I read some of the other reviews, and I want to say that I like Clay Pit a lot, too, but it's different there! It's more expensive, you have to dress up, and almost always I have to wait for a table no matter what time day or night. And it's so loud in there conversation is hard at times. None of these things occur at Taj Palace, so, go! Go and eat good Indian food at Taj Palace.

Great Lunch Buffet in Austin.. This place has a lot of the things I look for in an Indian restaurant - good naan, great rice, spicy curry, and homemade style desserts.

The one thing I wish was better is the location. I ride a bike everywhere so it is difficult for me to get there as often as I would like. No convenient bike parking, and right off the highway so the cars that are less likely to notice a biker are around. Also, I dont really like malls.

Friendly service and good food is what moves me to give them five stars.

Love Taj Palace Lunch Buffet!. I've been enjoying their lunch buffet for many years and it has never disappointed. Their fried spinach is the best I've ever tasted! For my money, some of the best Indian food in Austin!

Taj Palace in Austin. I crave Indian food alot but I only like to go to Taj Palace. I don't like very many vegetarian foods but they make all of their vegetarian dishes to perfection. I like the spiciness of their foods also. The restaraunt is always clean, the staff is always nice and professional and they cater to your needs while there. They are reasonably priced too. I would refer anyone to Taj Palace.

I have loved this restuarant for many years!!!!. I cannot go very long without craving the excellent goat curry! I love all of the chicken dishes. I love the variety with all of the vegetarian dishes in the start of the buffet line and the meat dishes at the end. I love the soups and the flat bread. I usually finish with some fruit and rice pudding. I also sincerely appreciate the low all you can eat price!!!!

I think I need to go eat some right now!!!!!! See you in the all you can eat line!!!!
