Good food. I've been going to Taj Palace for many years now. Though i've tried other indian places in austin, this one always remains our preferred. First of all, their buffet is great. It offers many meat and meatless options, though i have rarely seen Lamb in the buffet and that's my favorite.

Their naan is fresh and has a nice texture. I've tried all of their curries and they are very nice - although sometimes i bit too salty. I also have enjoyed the various appetizers, fish tikka, and chai.

The ambiance has gone through changes over the years and the current coloring, lighting, and sitar music videos make it a nice place for a date or to bring your mom.…
