Favorite place to stay while in Austin. This hotel is actually very nice and is just a short way to some historic neighborhoods, and public transit is very close; it is very easy to get to all the usual attractions, and more. They offer some very nice amenities, but there are some areas where the is room for improvement. It is really nice and convenient to have evening refreshments offered, but the selection definitely leaves something to be desired. They also offer a full hot breakfast that my family and I enjoy. The rooms are really nice. Albeit a bit older, but nice. I really love that there are real dishes in them and the solar power is great. The fruit trees all around the property are also pretty nice, and you're allowed to eat from them freely. I would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again.

Very Nice "Green" Hotel. This hotel is actually quite nice. It is not situated in the best area, but it is just a short way to some historic neighborhoods, and public transit is very close; it is very easy to get to all the usual attractions, and more. They offer some very nice amenities, but there are some areas where the is room for improvement. It is really nice and convenient to have evening refreshments offered, but the selection definitely leaves something to be desired. As a vegetarian there was really only some crudites for me to eat. Also, as a very conscious eater, I was pretty disappointed with the mass produced, lower quality snack crackers and such that were offered. They also offer a full hot breakfast, but I really wish more of the dining staff spoke better English and was able to answer some questions I had about some of the breakfast items. They need to provide labels for the items that are vegetarian. They should also note whether or not the eggs are free range and definitely offer soymilk and other organics. The tea selection was pretty good, though. I know all these "grievances" might seem trivial, but when you're touting yourself as an innovative, Earth wise, sustainable establishment, these little things really matter to travelers like myself. On the bright side, however, the rooms are really nice. Albeit a bit older, but nice. I really love that there are real dishes in them and the solar power is great. The fruit trees all around the property are also pretty nice, and you're allowed to eat from them freely. I would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again.

Relasing, Great breakfast!. I had the opportunity to stay at Habitat Suites during a seminar for work. My family went with me. When we checked in, the clerk asked if we had any special requests. I asked if they had any rooms with microwaves. She said they had some. She upgraded us to a two-story suite for no extra charge. It was great because our kids were upstairs, and we were downstairs. The breakfast bar was PHENOMENAL. There was a great variety of fruits, eggs, coffees, teas, cereals. The ambiance of the hotel was so relaxing despite being in the middle of the city. I can say that it made my stay very relaxing. The only problem was that it was a little hard to find, especially at night. If I hadn’t had my GPS I might not have found it as quickly. BJM
