He really took the time to educate me on selling a family heirloom in the jewelry business (which I had zero knowledge of) and left me feeling enlightened. Amazing Advice--Not in it just for the money. While looking for a jewelry appraisal, I happened upon T D Wernick Inc. Other stores were happy to accept $200 an hour or more to look at my piece, but this place was different (and much more reasonable). Instead of pushy tactics, I received advice on how to approach the vendor from which we purchased the piece and obtain a statement of replacement value.
