Good Car Guys. Sounds like some folks writing negative reviews miss the free coffee, high prices and Teutonic styled waiting rooms... or maybe they dont like the repair area which looks like an auto salvage lot where a bomb went off.... once you get past this, these guys are great and the premises have a kind of frozen in time Janis Joplinesque charm. They give you good advice and good service on VWs at fair prices. My 2002 Passat was notorious for burning out headlamps and they diagnosed a wiring fault and fixed it at a fraction of the price that VW wanted to (over) charge me for a new part. Same thing with an engine fault code and CV joint repair I had.

These are good, honest folks who know their business and deal with you fairly. VWs are mechanically crappy vehicles with high repair costs so having these folks in your corner will save you a bundle... unless of course you like the free coffee and Teutonic styled waiting rooms and $110 per hour labour charges at the VW dealer.

stay away from these guys. car was with them for 5 days and still they had no resolution. They will never call you back and to add insult to injury told me i could take my car elsewhere.

In short stay away from them go to the VW dealer atleast you pay more but get better service

Underground VW - the REAL groovy mechanics!!!. Great work, great guys! Been taking my buses there for nearly 15 years and these guys are great. They'll even call you long distance on their dime to talk about a tricky issue when you're out on the road - help you find a local shop in LA or Seattle! I can't recommend Toby and the guys highly enough! -- One note -- Please don't expect a sparkling waiting room complete with donuts, coffee and big screen TV. These guys fix your VW, not coffee!! So, put on your tie-dye and swing by for a visit!! Groovy, groovy, groovy!

Great Service, Fast Turnaround. Underground VW was great to work with every step of the way. I took my Jetta to have the bumper repaired - not only did they have it back to me in less than a day, they did what they could to minimize my repair costs. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Take your VW elsewhere!!!!!. These people are extremely difficult to deal with. I would be hesitant about letting these people even change my oil. I would suggest trying Austin VW -3852462.

Greatest auto shop ever!. These guys are always honest, get the job done quick and right, make sure you understand what's going, don't overcharge at all, et cetera. They are everything I've ever wanted in an auto shop. This shop alone is reason enough to buy a VW because you know if it ever breaks down you have someone you can rely on.
