Austin >Toner Plus
They are out of business.. I have been walking by Toner Plus on Wall Street for quite sometime. Today, I noticed there was a note placed on the door. The business property has been possessed by the landlord due to failure to pay rent. Looks like they are out of business, at least at this location.
Arrogance, stupidity and BAD business practices. We've done business in Austin and across the USA since 1962 and have never encountered this level of incompetancy. Be careful because they'll ship your product with an itemized invoice for all to see (normal business practice is to use packing lists) They'll also threaten collections because of their billing errors, delays. Oh forgot to mention, that the invoice that came withyour shipment .... its probably laying in shipping and receiving while your being reported late because they never issue another invoice to the "billing" address. Advice: AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Do not buy refilled inkjets from this company. First off I want to say that while this company appears to be local they are not, most of their products come from a warehouse outside of Texas. So buying from this company sends your money out of Austin but does help employ a handful of Austinites. Toner Plus sells refilled inkjets as well as "rebuilt" laser toner cartridges. About 1/3 of the inkjets I've bought have been faulty, requiring a trip back to Toner Plus so they can be exchanged. They told me that the color inkjets can be tricky to refill, funny they say that when they sell a machine that refills them. Both color and black refilled inkjet cartridges from this company have leaked or otherwise misbehaved in my printers, thus costing me time and gasoline to exchange them. Then they tried to blame my printer, which works flawlessly as soon as I take out THEIR cartridge and replace with a competitors. The rebuilt laser cartridges they sell are cheaply done compared to the competition. I always seemed to get a lot more pages from competitors products, and the competitors stuff cost less money too. Since I print a lot of identical pages at certain times of each month it's easy for me to make a good comparison since page counts and page coverage are about the same from month to month. Long story short, there a lot of other vendors I would use before I would go back to this place. I can't comment on their printer repair shop as I have never used it, I've always used the local Austin company ITWorkz for printer repair and would suggest you do the same. Be very careful if you visit their store, it's in an unsafe neighborhood with a high crime rate and your car may be burglarized in the parking lot even in broad daylight.
Worst customer service in the world!!! Do not use them!!!!!. I have never rated and reveiwed a company before, but I felt that I should after the terrible experience I had with this company. The company had sent me a leaky ink cartridge. I understand that mistakes happen, so I called the company and asked them if they could please come and pick up the cartridge and replace it with one that didn't leak. They said that they would do that only if we prepared another check for them to pick up. I asked them why they needed to pick up another check for a cartridge that was malfunctioning, especially since I had just given them a check for the full amount of the order, and she said it was "their policy." I was called by a Toner's Plus employee today and told that we were an unethical business because we require them to switch out the malfunctioning toner for a new toner that works. The woman that I spoke to said that she couldn't believe that we did business that way. I told her that there is nothing unethical about them replacing a product that did not work when it was delivered and that ruined our carpet. I will never use them again. I can't believe that we were treated so poorly. I have been in customer service for ten years and I have never experienced a company that has no regard for their clients. Please do not use them. They will make you pay for their mistakes!!!!!!
