With the proliferation of rate-inflated Austin accommodations, the Budget Inn targets the traveler who wants easy access to downtown but also needs a cheap place to stay the night. The motel offers clean, quality accommodations within a five-minute drive north of downtown. Nightly rates start low, but where you really score is with the rock-bottom weekly rates, which start at $193 per week.

The Amenities
The rooms are basic, but pleasant. Don't expect any bells and whistles, but do expect cleanliness and good quality. Singles generally include a full-size bed, free cable and HBO. Some of the rooms include queen- and king-sized beds, which are available at no extra charge. Free coffee is served every morning in the lobby's mini-meeting room, and a pool is also available.
