300 Austin is a fun concept, but we just spent $215 for six people to bowl two games, including food and drinks. It was remarkably expensive for a night that didn't include 6th street. While we had fun, the place was loud, and crowded. For that matter, the food, while expensive, was not very good. The various fried appetizers were obviously frozen, the burger was poorly cooked and soggy, while the personal pizzas were barely 6 inches in diameter but cost $8! Drinks, while similarly expensive, were quite strong (and redeemably good). The lanes were crowded on the Saturday evening that we were there, and the staff placed our large group next to two other large groups, so we spent the evening crowded on all sides.
Pros: Cool Concept, Hip Crowd
Cons: Expensive, bad food

I went out with a group of friends to 300 Bowl and I was impressed by the facilites and staff at this bowling alley. I wasn't impressed by the music for the fiday night RocknBowl, it was about 95% rap and we heard the same songs. The DJ clearly needs more variety. Other than that the place is top notch.
