Over 100 years ago, Scarbroughs opened in a downtown building and proptly became an elite emporium that served the well dressed and the well-off women of Austin. Although the location has changed, the store has stayed small and selective in both the size and fashion sense. This is where the big-purse weilding clientele come to get their fix of trendy, yet conservative items by Laudry, Juicy Couture, Nicole Miller, Betsy Johnson and more.

Scarbroghs is a great example of the local spirit that keeps Austin what it is while providing stylish clothing for good prices. Sometimes expensive, but much higher quality than Wal-mart.

I took my family to this store to find a dress for my sister's 15th birthday, to our surprise nobody welcomed us, the lady that finaly said somethig to us -after she almost pushed me out of her way- was sitting on a chair and said "did anybody greet you" I said no and then she left. We decided on 2 pairs of shoes and asked her for the sizes, she left when I was still talking! When we were redy to pay she said "put the shoes on the box and bring them to the register" You say that to your employee not to your customer. After paying she left and made us wait for the receipt, when we left nobody said anything. They might have high quality stuff but a very low customer service, my family and I left the store very disappointed. I will never go back.
