Austin >Taco Shack
I love these tacos!. I read a review about the taco shack and I was amazed! The review said that the taco shack was a horrible place to go! I totally disagree. I ask my mom practiclly every morning on the weekends if we can go and get breakfast tacos from Taco Shack because of how much I love there potato, egg, and bacon breakfast tacos. I am a huge fan and absolutly without giving it a second thought give it all five stars! I highly recommend this for a place to get just regular tacos or breakfast tacos !
You Can Find Better Tacos.
First of all, the food at this place is heinously overpriced, when there are 99 cent breakfast taco deals all over town. I get charging for like, beans, eggs, cheese, or meat when you want it extra, but these people charge 35 cents for cilantro, onions, and extra veggie items that should be free. If I get two tacos the way I like them, I'm looking at paying five bucks for two tacos which is ridiculous.
Then, once you receive your tacos, you find that they have been thrown together in a most disheveled fashion, not recieving ample enough amounts of the items you've been charged extra for.
The staff is extremely nonchalant and seems to care less about customer service.
I'm saying, if this is your only breakfast choice, it could probably be worse, but these tacos are definitely NOT the best.
I recommend Taqueria Arandas, where you get three tacos for 2.29 and they're excellent, and there are more options, the staff is super cool and friendly, and they beat Taco Shack by a mile.
Best tacos in the a.m..
This restaurant is all heart! Come support the Home Grown Boys who made good!
Fantastic food and service!
The word "shack" is fairly apropos, but it's easily forgotten with one taste of the breakfast tacos..
The restaurant itself may not be that large, but the Taco Shack houses what are widely recognized as the biggest and best breakfast tacos in Austin. For a meal that jump starts the morning, there are dozens of breakfast taco combinations to please any palate. The crispy taco plate features homemade taco meat straight from the owners' family kitchen. There's alos carne guisada plates, enchiladas and fajita platters that receive rave reviews.
you're kiddiing. how anyone could consider them to have good breakfast tacos is beyond me.
I dreaming of a Shack Taco. The Shack Taco: Fluffy eggs, perfectly fried potatoes crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside, spicy chorizo, sprinkled w/ cheddar cheese, all wrapped in a warn flour tortilla w/ a side of their great hot sauce... heaven! My wife & I try to stop in the original location at least twice a week for a Shack Taco or two. This perfect breakfast taco combination even convinced my mother-in-law who generally shuns any "adulterated" egg concoction... she has also seen the light.
Taco Shack - best ever. Taco Shack is the best restaurant for any kind of Tex-Mex, period. Orlando and Yolanda rock my world. Without Taco Shack, I wouldn't have had lunch during half of my senior year.
